It started 2 or 3 updates ago, the game screen freezes but I still hear other cars on track and other players tell me my car is still on track, parked somewhere, overheating after a while. Meanwhile I have to click all over the screen to shut the game down. This is happening too frequently!

    Windows 10 - fresh installation
    rFactor 2 - Fresh installation - dx11 64-bit triple monitor
    NVidia GTX 770(4GB) - Drivers version: 390.65
Wheel - Thrustmaster T500RS with latest drivers

I have tried lowering video settings to no avail. I mostly race online and none of the guys I race against are having this problem.

I think that I have had a similar thing happen as well. I run in VR and twice now I have been racing in multiplayer and have had no issues prior - stuttering, freezes, slowing etc etc. Suddenly, the Rift screen goes black but the sound remains. After a few seconds the game crashes out to the 'Matchmaker' screen. I am not sure where to find the event logs shown above. This has only started happening in the last week or so.

I have clean installed my video card drivers, stopped using Afterburner etc to see if that has any effect. It is quite disconcerting doing a race wondering if it will happen 'this time'.

I have been having the same problem for a few weeks too. Sometimes mid way watching a replay the game crashes but mainly after driving a car then hit esc to get out and it crashes out to the desk top. I have the same Exception code: 0xc0000005 in my event logs the same as you. Actually its identical to your event log. Every time I drive the orica from the new enduro pack it crashes to desk top when I get out of the car.
Anyone else had this problem and found the cause and a fix?
running a gtx 1080 on win 10. have reinstalled rfactor 2 and done checks on ram and stress testing the vid card, and find no problems. its the only game im having dramas with. happens with other mods when when driving them but not as consistently crashing as the enduro pack.
