Game crash on track loading completion with AMD gpu

Tried that and it still CTD on certain tracks. BTCC cars at Leguna Seca. All paid content as well.

Yup, I can confirm. Laguna crashes. Curiously, I was able to load Knockhill last week with no issues. I'll go check that again....

Knockhill loads with 36 BTCC cars, Daytona Roaval loads with 36 BTCC. Strange....

I have to add to my previous post. 22.10.2 DID work at some tracks. But I also had lockups at Bahrain and certain tracks like Laguna Seca would do that Crash to Steam at 100% of the track load. I have just reverted to 22.5.1 after cleaning out the current AMD drivers with DDU.(in Safemode). Once I installed the 22.5.1 drivers, Laguna loaded properly. I only ran a few laps so I can't guarentee if the lockup issue was also corrected.

22.5.1 works for me but I have other games I’m playing that require the latest drivers
I should also add, this is not just an rF2 problem, which searching for the 22.5.1 drivers, I found many posts about other games having issues as well.

Yeah they replied to me on Twitter saying it’s AMD’s issue to sort out. Well how come some tracks work and others don’t. If it was a driver issue surely no tracks would load in

The tracks that DO load with some of the newer drivers are prone to graphic lockups shortly after driving begins. Some function is getting called by the drivers and that is when the trouble occurs.

What track detail do you use?

For me and a friend of mine it seems that 22.11.2 is now working correctly.
Maybe its worth a try for you.
I've deleted shadercache within AMD driver and cbash+shadercache within rF2 after installing this driver.

Keep us informed, especially try Laguna Seca as that was one of the real problem child tracks.

Okay, are those problems only within multiplayer or also single player?
Only problems while loading or also other problems while on track?
Using several of the newer drivers, some tracks, Like Laguna, crash at 100%. Other tracks like Bahrain were able to load but eventually suffered video lockup within a couple of minutes. (Screen freezes but sound and AI cars continue) This is both OFFLINE and ONLINE.

Okay, i've tested Laguna Seca.
When using high or full trackdetail then rF2 is crashing at first or second attempt loading the track.
When using low or medium detail i can load to track multiple times without issues.
Laguna seca is one of those tracks were cbash files are included within trackmod. Maybe this is one point.
It will be nice to know what is the difference between low/medium and high/full what could lead to this behaviour.

Yes. I can confirm this. Just had 3/3 crash at full circuit detail. Went to medium on that settings and everything works.

GPU: 6650XT
Driver: 22.5.1

AMD has a bug reporting tool, I would suggest anyone having issues, to use that to send feedback to AMD. Include this thread or links to the many other threads about this problem. Who knows, it might cause somebody at AMD to look at it.
