Here the source of the noise

    And a suggested fix.

So, hardware problem and not software issue ?

    Take it easy.

YOU are a beta tester and are pointing it, isn't?

This is not a finished product, it's a beta and troubles are expected.

in my case this problem is not a matter of noice. it's a matter of the FFB:
when you go over curbs / off track / some crack on the road the wheel shakes like hell. but opposed to that, i get nearly no feeling of what the car does. i feel no oversteer and nothing...only violent shaking of the wheel wich makes my whole desk move.

please note that this is not about the noise (at least in my case). it's about the relativeness to other FFB effects. i'm using a driving force GT. Tha wheel rattles and shakes like hell when i go over curbs an such, but i feel nearly no FFB of what the car. the feel for the behaviour of the car is, in my case, comparable to midnight club LA (lol)...and that says a lot.

This is not a hardware issue, of that I am 100% certain :)

As I stated before, in an earlier build there was no rattle and and the FFB was exceptionally good :) I'm sure the guys will sort a fix soon enough, its very early days :)

omg JJStrack ther's something wrong then.
Since for example with the F1 67 in Monaco is beautiful drive, u can know exactly what happen to your car, over and understeering are very since ! (G27 here, but before i had a good DF GT and it was not very different about FFB quality).

Brian is correct, this is not methinks a hardware issue. I am curious about the earlier build you referred to Brian. I would ask you to speak to ISI about it (since you have an inside track there :D ), but I'm sure they are well aware of the issue as it stands now ...

EDIT: never mind, already answered, I was just too slow for these threads ...

FFB is great, but Logitech G27 is a big FAIL imo. We quickly need a fix or we have to buy another wheel. That annoying sound is also noticable on every other racing game: DIRT3, iracing, rfactor,...

In the earlier build I mentioned, the FFB was more detailed and powerful, but although the rough vibration we currently get when 'off track' was still present, it seemed correct and was far less pronounced. But now some of the detail has gone, the rattling / vibration is extreme when off track or on the rumble strips (Infact even on track it can happen). Also, when drifting the car, the FFB is almost too strong pulling into the slide. I use a ARC G25-E and it is a lot more powerful than a stock G25, so this may exaggerate the problem, but I was using the same wheel in the earlier build and it was remarkable how good the FFB was :)
