G25/27 horrendous rattling

Anyone else who has a G25 or G27 which rattles very hard (as in: undrivable)?

I've made a short clip of me driving up the Monaco mountain:

Now, the volume is very quiet in this clip, however the engine sound was actually quite loud. Keeping that in mind and hearing how much louder the rattling of my G27 is...

It's not only an rFactor 2 problem as I also have this problem in F1 2010 & 2011 and in iRacing (but less). And I know I'm not the same!
Anyone found a solution/setting for removing those excessive rattles? (except turning the ffb completely off ;))

Sounds just like mine, but not undrivable, just non-wife-able she had big comments about the noise of the G27.

Same here. Its only on kerbs and gravel for me. With rFactor 1 you could change that with the FFB effect option. But i dont see it in rFactor 2. I am also curious what the multiplier does indeed.

In your controller.ini, look for the line ' Steering torque filter= ' change that to 4 and try it, it should soften up the rattling. Then fine tune it until it sits nicely. I found 4 good, 5 was too much latency, 3 too harsh, 4 just right. but remember, this will increase latency so use it wisely.

G25 and G27 are not made equal in regards to these noises... the G27's helical gearing makes the left motor (especially) rattle as the axis moves from the sheared force.

Mine only rattles when I hit the curbs or go off track.... and it rattles A LOT!

I've turned down the FFB to 45 and it still shakes my whole desk when I go off track.

I was very hopeful, but doesn't change a thing here :(.

Jup, that's it. Curbs, off-track and on the old tracks ;).

Same on Logitech Driving Force GT. Quite horrible, had to turn ffb off actually. Not having such issues in other sims.

I've been testing rF2 for... a long time now... on my old G25 and it's received no damage, so no worries there. But yes, it IS pretty loud off track...

The contrast of FFB on the tarmac and the 'special effects' when going off, is too big IMHO.

When you turn down FFB the rattling decreases but you lose your feeling through the steeringwheel when on-track..

Main problem is there is some rattling even on track. Not only the sound, but feeling of it feels bad too. I hope this will be addressed.
