Hi all , help required please , have been playing RF2 for 2 to 3 months now with no problems today I purchased the BMW M2 CS , when loading the track and car I get a error message 5 times before I can run the sim , which seems to work fine . Error says , g motor 2 error , error loading mesh file unknown-token -plights to memory. in the workshop I cant find the BMW M2 although in steam it shows that I'm subscribed to it. have tried various things like unsubscribing and subscribing , it shows the car being installed. I have also verified the game files , your help please
Same here, I deleted the BMW M2 CS folder in vehicles but nothing changes after the automatic reinstallation. Some cars have yellow skins :-(
Lol , I've just reinstalled the game also in desperation. The BMW M2 loaded ok first of all , bad news the error has returned on loading second time around let me know how you get on
so has anyone have any ideas on how to fix this DLC issue , It looks like the dlc car files aren't loading correctly in-game making some of the cars appear as yellow box like cars , also I cant see the BMW M2 in the workshop only in the steam inventory
@Pyney can you show a screenshot of your rF2\Installed\Vehicles\BMW_M2_CS_2020 folder? *maybe also put a trace file here (attach it), there's a sticky thread in the tech support forum on how to do a trace file.
Hi , I have done 2 trace files one loading game and the other is game running loading the BMW M2 on to the track
It is indeed a bug that also occurs within the showroom but no idea what is causing it. Turning off skin transfers worked for me and others with the same issue under settings > display. Worth noting that the error is in a window UNDER the rFactor 2 application and you must click 'ok'. Sometimes you load into the game but other times it crashes the application. It seems to happen when the game tries to reload / redownload cars as it happens every time you hit ESC in a multiplayer session and there are vehicles that have joined the game that aren't loaded in yet. Turning skin transfer off fixes the crash.
