MSG promised in its roadmap updates for RF2 until 2025 and after a year everything stopped. What credibility does this company convey to its customers? I won't spend my money on them anymore.I've not explained myself very well it seems...
Okay.. ISI originally released rF2 in 2012/2013 with S397 being created in 2016 and developing it from then as part of Luminis.
MSG really isn't going to be wanting to significantly develop rf2 as there is no money in it for them in the long term.
Regrettably, any attempt by MSG to make any significant return on their investment through selling rF2 and DLC seems to go down badly with much of the sim racing world.
MSG didn't acquire S397 for rf2 but instead they wanted to "jump start" their newly announced titles so they had no way of creating them in the timescales they had committed to.
MSG want people to be buying LMU and other new titles.
The appear to have been able to turn around the BTCC issues by, I assume, showing TOCA the LMU game and telling them that the BTCC game will be like that.
Do you have a link to that statement?MSG promised in its roadmap updates for RF2 until 2025 and after a year everything stopped.
This information was on the MSG website, now it no longer exists. I can say with certainty that I saw this there, including promises of new games like solo INDYCAR.Do you have a link to that statement?

rF3 has been PLEADED FOR by users for half a decade at least. rF2 is already one of the longest serving sims out there. Every limitation is due to catering to 3 eras of car construction. At some point you have to move on, other wise we would all be happy with Nascar 3 and SCGT. Hell there is an entire group that mods DOS based sims like Indycar 1 & 2 to run in windows. rF2 will be around for a long time AFTER the still very nebulous rF3 arrives.Good way to alienate your customer base many of whom spent hundreds on DLC cars and tracks, to be abandoned and pushed to a new ecosystem
Can you imagine if iracing started iracing 2 and told everyone they were back to square one?
Excellent video in that post, thanks.
