Now why no release seperate from the ISI masters mod? Uninstalling ISI masters is not desirable for one. Then you need to install all those tracks (of which some suck real bad), and versions of those tracks are not mentioned. To bad, as I would have tried it out otherwise. Now I'll pass on this one. A real shame that is....
How to make the mod separate from the original one? I just did the mod using "Edit existing mod" but with new rfm and new vehicle, sounds and talent components...
I have done a new version with different sounds for each car (Mercedes, Cosworth, Red Bull Renault, Lotus Renault and Ferrari sounds for yellow car ). I will upload this night and I will post download link tomorrow. Required track list: -Belgium1996 (ISI) -Botniaring_FR_BETA_V0.53 -Brianza1966 (ISI) -HPTopeka -Malaysia (ISI) -MidOhio_Virtua_LM -MillsMetro (ISI) -MonteCarlo1966 (ISI) -PalmBeach (ISI) -Portugal (ISI) -Putnam Park -Snetterton300
Why are you making the mod dependent on all those tracks? Makes it tough for those of us who don't wish to have all those installed at the moment. So like the other poster, I will pass on this mod for the time being.
I want that it can be available for those tracks in online. Then it's the only form to do, not? Thanks.
Mirror , if mediafire delete files : http://www.drivingitalia.net/forum/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=3217
Your saying that the tracks can't be run when setting a server up unless the mod is associated with the tracks? I hope this is not true as it will make things very difficult to run servers later on down the road when there is a lot more content available for rF2. I will have a look into this and see what options may be available to avoid this.
Iketani, What you need to do (in my humble opinion), is make a new mod out of it, whilst keeping the dependencies to the original Formula Masters Mod. This ensures that you can use both of the mods . To do so, you need to make a combination of files of the ones you made, and the ones from the original content. I can help you with that if you want. Let me know if you are interested, so we can aee what it is exactly that you need to do. As example of what I mean. The FISI F1 Community style I released is actually the FormulaISI mod, but with custom skins. However, as I made a single package out of it, it is not an update on the original content. This leaves the original content around, so you are able to both use the original FISI, and the F1 Community style version. If I would have made an update on the original content out of it, it would have destroyed the option to play with the FISI content, and would the end user only give options to play the F1 edition. In terms of that track dependency, I prefer to keep the actual MOD seperated from ALL tracks. Create a vmod for the linking to the tracks. Reason for that: A vmod is so much easier to update, and so much smaller in size, so distribution is a lot easier as well. When you combine it all in 1 package (as you did above), and a new track is released you want in, you need to update the whole mod again. When keeping it seperate, you will keep the orignial mod in its original form, and just update the vmods
