Rather public You can find it on their facebook https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1040813139288662&id=799662210070424 (currently beta 0.8).
You can use my track pack with no problems, but this car is not specially optimized for the track pack. Meaning that, by default, all tire compounds are available on all tracks.
Well, I'm having great fun with this car. Times and top speeds f.e. on Monza also seem very close to the real Mercedes. I haven't noticed a bug except for one thing. Accelerated times in qualifing seems to be a bit slow on my computer (compared to my F1 2013 mod). No idea if this is only me and/or how to solve that, but it is not annoying. Other than that, I see no reason to change the physics of the car right now. I thought, when I made the physics of this car, that one or two updates for the physics during the F1 season were necessary, but honestly I see no reason for it. Agree or do you think otherwise?
Update v1.1 of formula frenky added, see opening post for download. This version is build and tested with b1098 of rFactor 2. There is a lot in this update as you will find out! Have fun racing!
rF2 is the only sim I know where you install a mod (car or track or even series) and then have to spend 10 minutes trying to find it in the menu. No consistency in naming conventions.
Indeed. Even when i looked through the installed content in launcher i wondered why the GT500 doesnt say "S397 Nissan GT500" or similar (and in the sim car/track menus). And i think i installed a bunch of mods among others the Apex GT3 mod, and when i got into the menu in the sim i think it was AM GT3(?). Was sure it was gonna be called APEX GT3 in the car menu for instant recognition. Even the older ISI stuff would be super if it had that tag in the menu "ISI Brabham", "ISI MillsMetro" etc. Might sound like petty complaints after tons of hard work put in, but its never a bad idea making things clear.
I, of course, don't have those problems. I don't know if it is a "steam thing", because I'm still on b1098 non-steam. Otherwise I can only suggest to uninstall (temporary) all open-wheeler mods. See if that works. However, I tested it to work fine with my F1 2013 mod. So you can leave that mod installed.
thanks frenky, thats pretty much what i ended up doing. unfortunately can't say precisely what mod was conflicting but on the upset i got it working & got rid of some clutter in the meantime
Thanks guys, I'm planning an update v1.2 in the next couple of days. Probably the last update for this mod. There's a graphical bug with Kimi's car, that I have solved (bug in gen file). And the new version will have better AI (improved tbc files), better default setups and an increase in power for all cars (better engine file). I like this one a lot . If you have requests and/or found a bug, please report. Stay tuned and have fun racing!
If it's not showing up in the list, I'd assume that it probably isn't the class, but that the .veh has the same name as one of the 2016 mod's veh files.
Guys, I don't have permission to change the names and file structure. The classes "single player" and "league edition" is not "invented" by me. So it is not fair (in my opinion) to change the names. See for credits the first post.
