the formula 2 mod does not allow to throw more than 89 liters, with that amount does not reach goal, in a race of one hour. neither does it allow changes to be made to make a pit and refuel. As the mod is official this encrypted, they can enable to put more fuel in the tank, they can enable stops to choose strategy. thank you very much
Formula 2 races didn't last for an hour. What you're trying to do is like taking a modern F1 car and doing a 3 hour race. They aren't built for that. I can't remember - are there fractional fuel use multipliers? You'd need to use that for that length race, or turn fuel use off.
No. Whoever made the actual list didn't have a good day when doing it (7x?). It has been asked long time ago and such a simple thing as changing a list hasn't been attended.
do a 1 hour race, instead of 45 minutes there is not much difference, if you wanted to run an hour you could do it without problems, it is not question of capacity of the deposit, I mean real cars if you make races with the fuel consumption x 4 you do not do 20 minutes
Yes, lack of options (or at least precision) in the rates isn't much help. Even a timescaled option for tyres/fuel and fractional time acceleration options would do it. Ah well, again, let's hope the new UI can help here, eventually. @juanchioooo I'm not that familiar with the series, but it appears in 2011-12 they did 2x40 minute races. Fueling for an hour seems unlikely. Anyway, if 1 hour instead of 45 mins isn't much difference, just do a 45 min race instead of an hour - there isn't much difference
@Lazza a f2 sounds better than a formula one current, less aerodynamic, less investment technology, can perfectly have a deposit for many more liters than 89 liters that puts the mod, apart mod if you put aerodynamic low reaches the limiter, the box is also wrong, limited I hope they fix it
Formula 2 2012 (real car) was designed to run in circa 40 minute races (i don't know the exact amount of Km per race), and refuel wasn't allowed. That's all, it's simulation.
89 liters is quite a big tank for the weight of that car. The not refueling rule from F1 is actually stupid and has killed a very good part of the strategy from the past.
the fuel tank of a formula 2 are 125 liters the limitation in the refueling mod is a mistake that can be corrected, for the strategies it is very interesting Dallara GP2/11-DRS (2017) 2345 Dallara F2 2018 (2018-2020) 67 Motor Mecachrome V8 4.0 L. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2611749-why-the-return-of-refuelling-would-be-bad-for-formula-1 I think this has some good points. Of course there is positive thing too if refueling is allowed.
These are the current specs of the new Formula 2 (GP2 in the past years). The one in rFactor 2 is the Formula 2 of 2012, not the GP2, but Formula 2. You are confusing 2 different series from different ages. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIA_Formula_Two_Championship_(2009–2012)
It is partly right, it was 2012, but the fuel tank could be bigger, evidently it was not because it lasted 45 minutes the sleeve, they consumed less, today they run more and consume more. It was even 30 minutes before. but if it is possible to be enabled to refuel and to be able to make races of one hour, it is not bad and it is easy to fix ...
If you would like to try a modern GP2 car you should try the mod from ASR2 Championship, it is a good (payware mod), the sounds are decent and the driving style is dictated by how easily the tires flat spot and the adverse reaction that has on your steering. Once purchased you can then get the official skin pack too. I think the ISI F2 2012 car is one of the most under rated in sim-racing and would not want that to be touched as it is true to the car it was based on but that's just a personal point of view.
I don't buy the increase in cost argument. LMP2 cars for LeMans are a very affordable category. I simply cannot see such a increase in cost. FIA is probably not happy recognising the huge error of introducing hybrid technology which has destroyed LMP1 category and actual F1. THIS has costed millions of dollars.
