I buy a WMR for 250 euro I have a GTX 1060 6go 300e and I5 3570k a 70e and I take a lot of fun with the VR even if I have not the graph full but it's ok
We are way off topic here. I'll start a new thread... ON TOPIC: Love the 1988 mod! Keep up the good work, and looking forward to updates!
Sorry, but you can't insult people and pretend the silence as answer. You are right with this: "If you pay 50% more than the RRP for a product then you must have so much money that you don't care, or you're not bright enough to figure out that you are being ripped off." Don't pay that money because it's not necessary. My 1080 and my CV1 cost considerably less than £1000.
@lagg If you think I'm insulting all VR users then you've wildly misinterpreted my statement. EDIT: I think some people are being offended because of Google Translate. Someone has agreed with a statement and thought I'm insulting them with another which is identical in meaning, but worded differently. Makes me wonder if this is what's happening with Brexit negotiations
misinterpret "stupid"? (the word) Google Translate? Being from UK? OK, it's enough. I apologize to everyone for the off topic and leave this surrealistic discussion.
Yeah, the prices of GPU's have skyrocketed lately, mostly due to the crypto-currency craze. Luckily I got my GPU before then. But miners are definitely ruining it for us gamers.
Could you please stop filling this thread with off-topic ramblings. I have to say that I love the mod, but the sounds need an update. They can be as loud as you want, but with this mod there is a need for better transitions between the individual sound samples. Not only do these samples have different loudness, they also don't blend very well. It is a matter of finetuning. It takes time but could be very rewarding for the hole mod. Since its first release in rf1 I have this on my list but never got to it... because I also respect the hard work carerra4 puts into this. He did it all by himself. Cars, physics, skins, all the tracks,.... it is an unbelievable amount of work, done by a single developer.
No, people use GPU's to mine. Due to miners they're in high demand which is what jacks the prices up. The retailer's way of making a little extra off the craze. This is the last post I will make on this subject as I feel like we've gone way off topic. Anyway, back on topic - Great mod. I've always felt like there's slightly too much turbo lag, or the turbo behaviour just seems off a bit. But I guess that's something everybody has their own opinion as to how it should be. Unbelievable that he done it all by himself as Flaux said.
Anyone could confirm if they update something in this mod? I dont remember these cars havin pit speed limiter and in Monaco (the one from the trackpack provided by this mod ) mirrors are glowing a lot
Did a complete reinstall of rf2...now all tracks and cars don't work anymore. HALP! Does anybody know what I can do?
I seem to have the tracks but the cars are non-existent: Component "F1_1988_HUD 0.941" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "F1_1988_Showroom 0.941" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "F1_1988_Sound 0.941" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "F1_1988_Talent 0.941" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "F1_1988_UI 0.941" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "F1_1988_Cars 0.941" failed to verify, removed from inventory
Anyone got any tip on setup for these cars? I mean, i drive the 86s, 90, 91s and stuff, heel and toeing them of course, but with these 88 cars it seems that whenever i need to go lets say from 3rd to 2nd, the moment i release the brakes, the car spins, even if i match the rev with the gás. Aside from that (maybe its just that im lacking the skills here, but i do drive lots of these older f1 cars, but my main sim was Assetto Corsa, im comming to rFactor2 now) the mod is superb, really takes you back to that Golden era.
If you come from AC you need to give it time, AC is very "driving friendly" so you need to get the feel again with rF2. It happened to me, went for AC for some months (rF2 is my number one sim) and when i came back i looked like an amateur...
