Dont know if this is known or if its just me, but i often see like a checkered big pixels/sprites-looking graphical "mess" that flash once somewhere on the screen (random place) a couple of times per session. Its a one time flash and then its all good for a while. Its very fast and not really disturbing, but i wonder what causes it and if its a known issue. I have seen this "checkered broken pattern" in white (most common color), black and one time it was blue. It's 16x16 pixels roughly and in a checkered broken pattern covering a smaller part of the screen. Seems when it happens the whole track/world flash in the color as well for a split second (very fast flash). Anyone else seen this?
Yes, I reported this problem here: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/white-checkerboard-flash.49932/#post-827431 As usual, my graphics card overheating was blamed, just like this problem: https://forum.studio-397.com/index....rash-at-1960s-monaco.50261/page-2#post-832324 That now many people have which also isn't fixed and means I haven't used rFactor2 for months now.
I have this too, always thought it was some sort of driver issue. Doesn't happen all the time, and my temperatures are fine.
@WiZPER I do not have issues with heat. Got several Noctua fans and the GPU reports around 55-58C in MSI Afterburner and HWinfo. They report the exact same number and i can feel in the case that its not hot. And no other game/sim that run even hotter got any issues with artifacts. I have never even gone over 67C with my card. I noticed now that it is when i use the AA in the sim. Turn AA off and its gone. Might be some driver combo hiccup perhaps.Take a screenshot is hard: See below. EDIT: @Woodee Its exactly what @rfuctor has in his video: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/white-checkerboard-flash.49932/#post-827425 But i dont seem to have it as much as him. I have a few times during a session and more spread out.
Same here exactly what you explained. My 980 Ti runs 84c stock which I don't like so I run my fans 100% which runs around the min 60's and still does it. Not a big deal but I thought it was heat at first too but not now.
Maybe an Nvidia thing then with a certain combo of drivers. Dont know if @Coutie has an Nvidia card, but if he does then all reporting this has that brand.
