It can be done that way but you have no idea what value to enter unless you driven that particular car and to find the car in the extremely long list. It's far easier to adjust it while your in the pits in the settings tab for controls and then drive the car and return to the pits if it needs readjusting. It gets saved in the all_vehicles.ini file when you return to the main UI screen. It is also different for all cars, my range of settings goes from about 0.35 to 1.00, the average is about 0.75 which is my starting point. So a global setting is not possible.

    Mostly i need something between 0.6 - 0.78 .I drive the org. Studio 397 /ISI cars,lesser Mods.
A Key binding for FFB + or FFB - is not possible?
Or on a second controller (Xbox one wireless)?

Changing it is quick and easy in the controller settings menu. Doesn't take any longer than changing fuel load/tyres etc.
I'm ok with the current situation.

It would be quickier easier to change this, while you are driving.

A lot can be done in this department, starting from a monitor, passing through a in cockpit adjustment finishing in a autotune option that suggest an ideal value to limit clipping.

    Yes that is a given.
My point is how often does one need to do it?
For something that you can figure out within 1 sector in a new car and adjust it once then not need to adjust it ever again it seems a very low priority to have as an in car adjustment.

It depends on the amount of cars that everyone drives.
I agree With you with the priority, but every improvement is welcome

It would've helped me yesterday evening in the GT3E race, where rF2 decided when I took over, that my FFB multiplier would reset to 100% from 60%...

Oh yes, I know that feeling. I entered in the wrong car and got 100% of a 20nm OSW and was sweaty within 2 laps.
Similar thing if the car is updated. So you give a good reason for in car ffb adjustment.
For now I check it in setting b4 clicking "race".

I was in a rush to take over someone, so couldn't check it. I hit a curb I didn't expect to, and it smashed the wheel out of my hand, causing me to roll 6 times

Checking before you start a race is a good habit to get into, after a few times you'll do it automatically.
