Havent search the forum but why we dont have ffb clip app, one which is the most important for ffb, dont get it
With DD wheel is not crucial, with G27 it is necessary to fine tune it. From my experience with above wheels when the FFB clips you almost can't steer the DD wheel due to high forces. With G27 you can steer it because of much lower force but you are at the max that G27 can give and at that point there is no detail when clipping occurs. That's a hint that you are in the clipping zone with no FFB detail.
Yep, true q is actually why havent they worked on that or at least make it doable but instead created sth we cant even call good hud
Becuase of the way DX9 'drew' stuff on the screen. It can't be done in DX11. They are working on it, it's just not a quick fix.
It is possible to check clipping in DX11 by using MoTec and the DAMPlugin Check this thread: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/damplugin-for-rf2.49363/
With G27 it does not take much to find a good compromise, I can't know if there is a bit of clipping in some situation, or if you could squeeze a fraction of torque from the wheel, but when I find the wheel has some weight and driving feels natural and FFB feels "alive", I'm good with it. I used that plugin ALOT, but now I feel I can trust my feelings more.
It's called FFB output [%]. You'll need to enable logging in the [Extra Channel Config] section of the DAMPlugin.ini (it's in your userdata folder), the one you need to enable is controls_1... see here for full list of logging options https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/damplugin-for-rf2.49363/page-2#post-819448
