The last month or so my Fanatec CSL DD force feedback drops out while I'm racing. Resetting FFB has no affect, I have to restart rF2 to get it back. I see that the Logitech G-Hub was causing problems but I don't any Logitech components on my PC. The steering gets very grainy when this happens.
Are you running the latest Fanatec drivers Version 464. If not try the 464 driver, uninstall old driver before installing new driver and ensure your wheel base is switched off while uninstalling and installing. There may be firmware updates after installing the 464 driver.
Which QR ? QR Lite with wear are prone to disconnect. Make sure base side QR is properly seated, the stock single clamp tend to come loose. If 8nm base lower to 6nm to test. Not just rF2 either https://forum.fanatec.com/topic/8742-csl-dd-loses-force-feedback-and-wheel-inputs-during-a-race/ https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/404919606345?_trkparms Have you tested for spike.
OK reset that collar, though there was no gap, it was seated tight, we'll see if that fixes it. Also set NFR to 0.
The biggest aspect to help single collar is lowering FFB and don't hit anything IE: when you get big Collison can make base side QR "jump" I really tightened that single nut 8nm is a joke needs double that use a long handled allen key, when it starts to bend stop. However no matter how tight you do the single clamp it will come loose again if you punish FFB. You really should get China knock off collars they cheap and nasty but fix this issue 100% you can then turn FFB back up even collisions won't shake it loose from my experience.
Just another minor point. If you look at wheel side you will see one pin is slightly shorter ( I think this is case) I think this is so power connects last. The difference in 2 pin lengths is small so if you take 1/2 that distance would be all it takes for maybe the other pins to become unstable but the wheel will still be powered on. I thought this is where the graininess could come from. Once it comes out far enough your steering goes dead.
