Fanatec ClubSport V2 Wheel Not Recognised

I've just upgraded my rig with an RS Mega+ motion system and thought it would be quite fun to have a hoof around in the Bentley GT3 at Silverstone. But rF2 is not recognising my wheel - which it did perfectly well a while ago.
Is rF2 dying or dead - so lost all sorts of fun stuff eg Formula E??

Any expiring content aside (I can't remember if any F-E content has been disappeared, though it does sort of ring a bell), rF2 isn't going anywhere - should work largely as it did before, unless any bugs have been introduced.

Did you try just assigning controls manually?

Also try to check the 'usuals' like the order you plug things in, it may be a little sensitive to the device order in windows. I'd usually unplug everything, maybe reboot, then plug the wheel in first and get it working - then plug any other devices in.
 
Thanks. I went through all the settings. DD1 and pedals listed in rF2, no V2 wheel. And control set up didn't respond to left/right on the wheel.
A saved profile didn't work either. Restarted PC several times and changed switch on order.

When assigning steer left and steer right, did you keep turning the wheel until it picked it up?

(and, have you tried loading the various Fanatec profiles to see if any work?)
 
As stated above, when assigning the wheel travel for a left direction, turn the wheel all the way left It should get noticed by rF2 during that rotation. Then, when assigning right turn, repeat the process & rotate the wheel completely to the right. The wheel should be resting in it's center position before starting either of those assignments.
If you do get the wheel assigned properly, & you should be able as there are many Fanatec users out there who were around long before the Direct Drive products arrived. But if you do get the wheel properly working, don't forget to calibrate the wheel and pedals before launch your big bellowing Bentley onto a track!
Keep asking questions, plenty of experienced folks here to help out.
 
ALSO...LOL make sure the wheel is powered up and ready to go BEFORE launching rF2. It tries to detect the wheel early in the booting process, if your wheel is still initializing, it may not be ready when rF2 calls. (definitely LMU is less persnickity in this regard)
 
Like I say for decade.

Use rfmods for ALL content.
Then it is impossible to lose anything.
As long as you never uninstall any rfmod that contains removed content nothing they can do about it.
The other smart move is to copy all 3rd party content to archives and unsubscribe it.
Probably only around 5%-10% of content is even updated anymore.
In that case all you need do is resubscribe, copy the update to your archive and unsubscribe it again.
You can even keep old versions if you so inclined ;)

Yet when something next is removed I will hear complaints when all they needed do is listen :)

Don’t worry, catches lots of people. Always been a thing in rF2, you have to get past halfway (0.5) for it to register the wheel. Then years later you forget :D
