Well... It was valid the night it was posted.

I'll put it up now... Maybe I'll see ya there when I get the chance to get online.

    Bryan

*note I hadmade up my mind that I wasn't going to have any vMODs that contain
non-ISI content until I get the "get missing content" feature working on my vMODs.

So, if the room stays empty for very long tonight running Virtua_LM-Mid Ohio, I will be loading something made by ISI

While i like the idea of hosting old fashion races, i prefer to see them race on old tracks
But, really? old F3 on 1991 Circuit de la Sarthe (LeMans) c'mon!.
I would love to see these races held on old Kyalami, Zolder, Goodwood, Monaco, Aintree, Killarney, Spa ,Monza...
And rather doing long single runs, i would prefer 2 short races.

Great series, great people...a lot of fun :D. Unfortunately i live in a completely different timezone than you guys. So its allways very late in the night for me here in Europe. I just can drive with you, when i have a day off the next day.

    Thanks for the server!
    F3 ftw...cu on track

PS: I am (still?) slow, but hopefully allways fair and respectfull. Sorry for my poor english.

Can you guys please change tirewear back to 1x.
I feel like i'm driving on tissue paper.
Anyway, had some great races, keep the same car selection.

That is because you are locking brakes.

You simply must learn not to. :)

Then 4x tyres ( I assume BBs using ) will last you heaps.

Yes i do lock up the brakes sometimes but the tires won't even last a couple of laps around Indianapolis.
To be honest: these tires were in the day rockhard and could last around 2 grand prix's.

The problem is that in real life drivers drive as to conserve the car in whole and the tires in particular.

The above statement means that you are NOT able to beat on the car as hard as you can and expect it to last an entire race. You may have to
use some race strategy on my server with some cars on some tracks.

Also make sure that your setup is NOT symmetrical for this track. You're only turning left.

SMOOTH is the name of the game with all the 60s cars.

Watch and listen to some old videos of these cars in action on YouTube and notice how little tire smoke and screeching of tires there is.

The tire wear level will stand at X4. That is to reward those drivers who drive conservatively.

Now if I could only make motors blow up more easily... : )

Bryan is absolutely correct, in certain tracks tire conversation is very important.
there are other factors that come into play such as fuel load and brake bios
If you have ever watched Nascar, tires and fuel are one of the most important things.
Your car setup determines the load on the tires and how fast they wear out and which ones will wear out faster.
There is a screen in the game that while you are driving that shows tire tempters and tire wear
Brian thanks for your server, I have lots of fun in it

    Good news race fans!

I started using Noel's neat little tool for registering those pesky un-registered or un-properly registered vehicles and tracks.

I have a test, using Toban Raceway, on the F3 Fanatics! server.

Please see the first post on this thread for more information.

Cactus also started an F3 Fanatics yahoo group the other day. Please join and contribute!

    Wish List of tracks,
Bathhurst...... Looks like it could be a good track for the F3. Not sure it available or not for us to use but it would be a cool track to drive.

    Just my 5c
Having a server with 14 tracks is just too much.
There is bount to be a problem to anyone.
right now I have to spend too much time to find (i dont think I ever will) Mid Ohio 2.0 while 2.1 is released and previous was 1.98 etc etc
I have 12 out of 14 and its the same as if I had 0 out of 14.

Also Toban 0.78 refuses to appear at Mod manager even if I have placed it at my Packages folder again and again

I'm late to the party but can someone tell me how this server works? Does it just cycle through 15 tracks it is there some structure? Also what is best time and/or day to join or is it just random?

No, at the moment there is no real "structure" and sometimes I'll arbitrarily load another track. (usually after a request for that track)

I will also be loading another vMOD with all IsI content to make it easier to join the server.

I live in Arizona -7 GMT. I see the server start to fill anytime after 4:00pm, my time, to 7:00pm where I see 5 to 18 racers and they usually are on for the duration of the night.

    Hope some of this helps!

    Hi Nikos,

Sorry for the hard time getting into my server.

It was a test... I guess it isn't going to work as hoped.

I'll be loading another vMOD later with only IsI content.

    Hope this helps,

    Bryan
