Hi! My friend Alex Gorbunov made a very long time ago F1 2001 mod for rFactor. With his permission, I do it for RFactor 2 :)

    Thanks @KoshaPashkin for screenshots ;)

I want to say thank you very much for the original mod for rF1 to my friend Alexander Gorbunov.
I also want to thank you separately @juancito1984 for a huge contribution to work on physics.

I already made a conversion of this mod (only for personal use and to learn how to do it), but I deleted it because couldn't get the AI working properly. I wish you to have better luck, because this is a great mod! Are cars going to have different physics?

It's great seeing all these classic seasons finally being converted over. Only took 5 years for people to start doing it. :p

Yeah I agree. rFactor 2 has been out since around 2011-2012, I was expecting it to happen sooner TBH. But I only just bothered to start learning properly around June-July last year because I needed a distraction in life.

Is this the well known "RMT" mod? If it is, and if you are interested, I can send you the physics files I made, so each team has different physics. I tweaked the original files so each car has the correct engine power from 2001, and also tweaked the aerodynamics a little (drag) so the difference in performance is sharper. Tell me if you are interested!

I can also send you the talent files, made from the original RMT mod.

thanks very well for the Benetton preview; the car is fine to drive, sure too; i have done my best over the lap to rft 2011 monza 1.25.092 in qualification configuration; 340 km/h with an aero 14/13 front rear. it s really pulsive to test. the best car done in openwheeler in my point of view (better than williams 2004 cause more realistic way)+

Nice to these those beauties making an appearance in rF2!

Haven't tried the mod yet, but from your screenshots it looks as if the cars could use some more fresnel and specularity. From this photo gallery it looks, as if all cars had a pretty shiny appearance whereas your Jordan looks pretty much flat: http://www.f1-photo.com/F1-Archives#/F1-Archives/2001

Maybe you can ask @yoss from Apex modding or Alless from @UnitedRacingDesign to lend you a helping hand or giving some tips of how to set up the materials and shaders properly as their cars look pretty nice 24/7 in the sim. Or maybe just take a look at their setups. :)

Thanks for your feedback! I looked like a set of reflection in other mods. Today I can not squeeze more out RFactor(( Draw all the textures from scratch, I can not(( Maybe in the future I will be able to set it up better))

Well, thanks for let me do something! Could you give me some time? I have to test the physics so the difference between the cars is close to reality. I'm trying them in rF1.

To be clear, what I did so far is setting the correct engine power, the maximum RPM (according to www.allf1.info) and number of gears for all cars. I also modified the original set of tires to have intermediate and wet compounds, following RFE tutorials. I don't know it that can be helpfull for you.

What I have to do next is to increase drag coefficients and decrease lift coefficients for some cars, so they have different performances even if they have same engines (for example BAR and Jordan had the same engines, and Ferrari and Sauber had almost the same).

Well, thanks again for let me do something. Now I'm going to try V1.0!!!
