F1 80's Mod project seasons pack (historical demo released)

it automatically updated due to having the original mod. Should I remove it and reinstall with new mod as I notice that there are a few teams that have the same number. Lotus 12 & 12?
If you talk about the icons only, yes, i did'nt made two different icons par team yet. So, you don't have to reinstall obviously ;)

Ciao la prima impressione che ho è che sono troppo facili da guidare, (non sono cattive come lo erano quelle macchine) ma comunque grazie per il tuo lavoro!
Hi, please in english mate ;)
For your feedback, could you be more precise wich car you use and other points like semi automatic gears, driving help, etc ? Thanks.

That said, cars are harder to drive now than previous versions if you push them. So i'm a bit surprised.

Firstly congratulations for releasing such a high quality mod - your perseverance, blood sweat and tears is commendable.

It’s great to see all the 1986 cars faithfully bought to life.

I tried a few cars, I’m really struggling getting the power applied, it’s like it conked out - if you drop back into first gear for a corner it’s impossible to get the car to accelerate- not with wheel spin but just getting drive. Other than that, the sounds and the physics once I stay in 3rd gear above are brilliant.

Hi thanks for your kind Words Buzz. For the gears exploit, you Must work on gear ratio instead of using default setup. Check first the final drive and adjust the gear ratio precisely. Some teams had lesser budget and didnt had so much choices than top teams. This is done also for ai upgrades that i will work on. Gear ratio and setup are big part of laptimes or even general behavior of cars. Fine tuning is needed if you take in consideration that from race to qualy you can have 25kmh of delta top speed.

Many thanks I’ll give it a try and report back.,

I have the Benetton in a seperate, earlier HE list, the one wthout a icon of the car in the menu. How do I include it in the new Historical Pack, as it doesn't seem to be a part of the new install?

great mod thank you very much, ffb is impressive i use logitech rs50 steering wheel
in these cars it is important to keep the turbo pressure high enough when accelerating out of corners, so you have to learn a new way of driving so that the engine rpm does not drop too much in corners. formula cars of this era were known to have quite a bit of so-called turbo kick

It never ceases to amaze me what happens when love and enthusiasm come together to create such amazing projects. A huge thank you to you trollray and to everyone who supported you (ChiefWiggum, doddynco). As always, the result is impressive.
Great work. :) Thank you guys.

All cars are in the update, benetton included of course. You should uninstall the older version as it was not with all new features for sure.

Absolutely fantastic work.

Very well done, I'm thrilled.

Except for one thing...

I often use the cockpit bonnet camera.

However, it's not the same on all the cars.

It fits perfectly on the McLaren.

But on many others, it doesn't fit well at all.

Either the camera is positioned too far to the right, or too far back.

Could it be made more uniform, like on the McLaren?

You can see what I mean in the pictures!

I agree about the camera angles, the McLaren has the best and most usable outside-the-cabin angle, for example, Chief Wiggum's F1 1967 mod has great bonnet camera angles.

Enjoying this very much. Only problem I am having is with the mirrors. Not able to adjust them. Checked Vehicle Data etc
u can adjust them but only simultaniously (shift + seat up/down).
so i adjust only inside mirror (for example Jacarepagua left mirror) untill it works like a rearview mirror.

Hi all, good evening!

Just wanted to congratulate you on this 1986 mod for rFactor 2. The FFB and engine sounds are absolutely amazing! —it really feels like I was in 1986 taming those 1000hp beasts!

I'm just writing to report some high CPU occupancy issues in my desktop. Even with a capable GPU (RTX4060), I'm experiencing stutters and heavy CPU load which I couldn´t drive flowly in a single lap, particularly during race starts or when many cars are in the same sector.

I’ve managed to mitigate this by lowering visible vehicles and opponent physics, but I thought it would be useful to share this feedback for potential future LOD optimizations or AI physics tweaks.

Thanks for the hard work, this is a gem for the rF2 community!

Hi, if someone have some clue of how to fix this, im aware. I proposed already some shader bash revamp or integrity check. Thanks cheers.
