The downtown Detroit track But the GM logo wouldn't be on the Renaissance Center during any year the F1 race was run on the track from 1982 - 1988. GM bought it and moved their headquarters there in 1996.
Oh i didnt know. What logo was there so? I can change it but i have no clue of what logo to use. Thanks for the details.
Nice! Looks like a great update. You might want to keep that models warmed up for a modern version https://www.indycar.com/News/2021/11/11-03-Detroit-GP
Lol, thanks for the tips guys. I sure can keep a later version but i doubt only a logo will change the atmostphere.. But an ED-209 should lol Anyway, the tracks for 1986 version will have an other version for 1988. It will make more GB on HD but it's important to match the correct pitbox teams and some adverts. The Aiw path will be done for 1986/1988 and a fastest path for all the other cars, including Indycar of course. Last but not least, the collection will represent a total of 18 tracks (86/88 season). When done, i will go further on night effects (something i need to learn first) because that will open possibilities for vintage endurance races Cheers. I get back to modding now, thanks for the support
I couldn't resist. I'm so happy to find some ways to use the shaders now. Very excited to make this reflections. Stay tuned and patient. The good news is that learning process will benefit for all the other tracks i'm working on. Hope you like it (The Gm logo is also corrected lol ) Cheers
Brilliant work mate ! Night effects at Spa would be a great addition and also if I push my luck increase track car limit to 50 ha ha no pressure ;-)
Detroit is looking great, i love street circuits and done a Cart 85' video on my channel a while back. But was wondering, and a long shot this is. Would a Cart version ever be considered, removing the last tire chicane?
Hi folks, A very good news here. Detroit is released !! (or it will when i finish this post lol) I'm pretty proud of my work and progress made with all shaders. That will benefit of course for the other tracks also, but in this track, the most complex part was the numerous parts and details that gives the urban atmosphere of the USA. I hope i have done it right Not forget that the basis work done by Carrera4 was already a solid work. The rest is a question of patience Last but not least, the SPa bug should be fixed now. I have made some fresh scn file and all seems to work pretty well now. Don't forget to give feedback. As a bonus, here is a short video of one lap. I've call it "A morning in Detroit". This is a touristic lap just to take the time at dawn before a hot summer day in Detroit Best wishes for 2022 ! Cheers and happy driving !
Another point, i decided to put a new thread in the locations forum. This is better to divide the tracks of the cars and help in readability. Please now use this thread for the tracks feedback https://forum.studio-397.com/index....r-86-88-historical-edition-by-trollray.70961/ Cheers
Just a quick question regarding the updated tracks, has the marbles effect overtime been sacrificed? Just watched and sped up a practice session to look over the new detroit update and noticed no marbles which for me was a brilliant immersive add on.
That was a kool morning drive around Cobo Hall etc. Great re-creation of a bygone era, trollray. I grew up in Windsor, across from Detroit and drove my Barracuda thru them same streets. What a rush in the Cobra. Can't wait to do a few laps myself. Mucho gracias
