***New demo Released !*** The evolution of the championship edition will go to Historical version step by step. You can test it in the link below. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2295224315&searchtext= Last update for championship edition. Graphical update New version for all tracks and cars working now with new ibl shaders. All tracks have received also new tarmac textures in 4k. All tracks and cars rain effects working. Consider that as a first pass and a basis for future updates. hope you like the work. Cheers Sounds updates Joining me in this project, Doddynco make all the work on new sounds. Only ferrari engine sounds are made for now but with the 5 gear correct gearbox. You can also hear the sound using the osella, minardi and ags. All credits goes to him for that. What is it? 1 : It's a compilation of different mods made by different authors (@carrera.4, @ChiefWiggum @Postipate @philrob @senormen . ) 2 : It's nearly finished and it's a work in progress video made only with AI. 3 : This mod is just a number of tweaks from original authors versions. - New AIW path working for all tracks and all cars from 86 and 88 season. - New talent files for all drivers - New cameras for all tracks in 80's tv style. - Sweet FX and reshade presets - Physical update to match 86 cars teams difference. (88 is already a HE) - *AI use of tyres, fuel and rain working in a correct equilibration with human players. All credits to the different authors and all thanks to their agreement. I'm just missing @carrera.4 and @senormen answer for this mod. I've tried every communication source but still no answer. If you know them, please tell them to respond * The idea joined with the post production tweaks is to make the use of this mod as a whole standalone plug and play package. Let me explain. Using different combos means different ai behavior or results sometimes. Now with this mod, you just have to make a short race/qualification to see where you are in difficulty level to match your needs. When done, all you have to do is playing. No matter you use this car with this circuit, it will be correctly balanced. (Even when it's raining ) Cheers https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2188673436
Well, as i've said, i'm not a creator from scratch. My contribution is to make the mods work together and well balanced for offline play. Online work too normaly and i bet that, playing with some friends and AI to complete the grid is far easier than waiting for a complete grid of human players. For other seasons, well, it depends if cars and tracks are available in a good level of details. I've tried with 1979 older mod and it works not bad but i don't have all the tracks and there is some artefacts with DX11 for these cars.
On the internet. I converted them and did the tyres, shaders and physics (the 77 and 78 mod crashes with unfixed physics) myself. Here; https://rfactormodsandf1races.wordpress.com/
I'm gonna put it this way. Theres so many of these mods if they were made public for rf2 would make this sim LEGENDARY
SharD, you have converted all f1 1977 cars? Very interesting P. S. For physic conversion, have you tried this useful tool? https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/rfactor-2-online-tools-by-chris-“redapg”.53457/
Yes, get permission, the 76, 77, 78' seasons would be nice to have in rF2, but I see in your conversion most cars have black wheels, IRL some had chrome wheels, looking good though.
They are far from finished. And the 1976 and '77 mod are lacking some cars. I know those cars are available in the old F1seven mod though. But I have no idea how to get them from F1C to rF2. This period is technically the most interesting era of F1. With the game you can simulate turbo engines and potentially wingcars by making the fenders OP. So that'd be quite great to see. Good work by OP by the way.
76 - 77 and almost all the seventies exist also on rfactor 1 , and of course the files are already in .gmt format, so no need to convert, and it is quite easy with 3Dsimed
if i had the time and capacity to do this i would but.....not really LOL more of a driver and brain stormer LOL
Hi guys, some news here Now i just miss one last agreement from Carrera4, the rest seems ok now. I still have no news from him, i really hope he is in good health :s For the project himself, i've been very busy with it (lots of coffee) and i found some very interesting things concerning ai values. i've had to rework a big part of AIW path but the results are far better now. I'm fine finishing tuning the AI tyre Wear and fuel to reach the best balance now. (Human and AI are not using same physics as you probably know ) When done, i would be ready to put it on Steam. As i still don't have Carrera4 advice, i'm taking this time to fine tune the whole stuff but in another way, i'm not stealing his work if i redo the AI and cameras? What do you think? I'm pretty concerned about the fair play to all the different authors involved. What will be in this "compilation mod" : 1 New AI working path for all seasons and tracks (86/88) 2 New cameras for all tracks 3 Talents files for all drivers 4 New physics for 86 cars matching team differences (88 is already a HE) 5 New Physics for AI behavior (slides on exit when pushing, do battles, defend, overtakes correctly and sometimes also crashes ) 6 New balance system for the whole package ( Difficulty settings balanced for the whole package, no need to tweak all the time.) 7 Rain behavior also working for AI and right balanced 8 A PDF manual inside the pack to use it and understand what's inside and the limitations. When finished and if you like the results, i'll probably put some videos tutorials to help others with the different aspects that are in use in this mod and how i have use them. Cheers, (need a cup of coffee now lol )
