F1 2022 cars will have quicker transients, and harder to drive fast

    Very interesting. As you can understand from the video, making cars faster inevitably creates a big challenge at maintaining nice controls, keeping them not too difficult. Tires goes peakier, and aero goes peakier. It becomes more difficult to manage it with suspension.

    My prediction is that in 2022 winning cars will be much less predictable, as sometimes will win those that are fundamentally faster, and other times will win those which are not that fast, but capable to keep the speed more consistently and avoid mistakes. Although Hamilton and Verstapen are both mad beasts, 2022 car might still be bellow their actual capabilities.
