Also, no optimisation at all for AI, as it's not necessary for league racing.
The other bet is using some of Senormen or Digga's stuff. I know Senormen is working on Singapore and it looks BEAUTIFUL.
Hello party people,
I hope, you are all doing fine.
I have built a new pc and started playing rF2 again. I found out that Studio 397 updated the chassis and tyres of the Formula ISI, so I incorporated these into this mod. In my opinion this is really a big improvement; the cars now feel a little bit less oversteering and can now drive great in the rain!
Download in the first post.
Let me know what you think of it. These tyres are much better, much better temperature distribution and therefore more even tyre degradation between the fronts and the rears.
Have fun racing!
* use the same tyres as FISI
* use the same chassis file as FISI
* tweaked downforce parameters on the front
* slightly improved engine cooling
This car is so fantastic! Still working out tire strategy, but it is highly addictive. Thanks for this update
Still one of the best f1 mods for rf2 thanks for the update
You're welcome, guys
Having tested this it feels wonderful , truly great work .
@Frenky I think this is my favourite F1 mod now, awesome work.
@Frenky , what do you think? Can you add the raindrop shaders? Please!
I can only do notepad editing. So I guess these graphical changes are not doable for me.
Maybe someone would cooperate with you?
@Slow Motion @ChiefWiggum
Am I being stupid? Tracks used to be in the first post, but I can't seem to find them...
PM me. Sincerely I didn't read the thread and I didn't see the mod, but if I can be of help and if the update can be technically done, I can do it. These days I have big problems with the internet connection (I use a 4g connection), because of it seems that too many people are around me for holidays and everything stopped to work (also smartphone connection to the same tower of course) and problems never come alone, LOL, so I must build a new PC but I can't because of the lack of connection! Grrrrr, ahahah
But randomly I have access to the web and I can read and write, so, here I am (more or less ahahaha)
The track pack is not updated for DX 11 and I don't use it anymore. But feel free to play it.
I hope that Slow Motion or Björn can help with the raindrop shaders. I myself have simply no clue what to do. You may alter this mod to whatever you like, but if you have improved an aspect and wish to share your updated mod with internet/other people, please PM me first. I will then make sure the update will be in the first post here and give credits to the right people.
For the rain affects on carbody: https://docs.studio-397.com/develop.../rain-effects-and-windscreen-shaders-for-cars
Okay guys, I made a small mistake in the front wing downforce in the latest version. It is about 3 percent or so too low.
So stay tuned for an update later this day. That update will also recognize more tracks so that tyre compounds and air density are automatically set to the 2013 rules resp. circuit level above sea. So expect to drive Brazil, Austria, Belgium and Mexico with less downforce, drag and power.
Updated first post for v1.51.
DONE v1.51 (tested with v1112):
* use ISI radiator en brake duct lift en drag settings !DONE!
* tweaked wing downforce parameters !DONE!
* updated trackconfigsbase.ini !DONE!
* marginally less help from TC and ABS for medium and high setting !DONE!
Thanks, don't care much if it's updated to be honest, it's just hard to find tracks with such good optimisation as yours.
Do you perhaps have a link?
Or, which tracks do you currently use that has good AI? I want to simulate the real 2013 season.
The link is in post 714
I like those tracks that has good AIW lines, so mostly ISI/Studio 397 ones and some 3PA tracks. I like Silverstone, Sepang, Matsuzuka. And tracks from "Senormen" (you can find them on the same website as in post 714) are also not bad in this regard (I think).
But I also read on RD that a person named "Ace King" is busy improving a lot of tracks AIW files. Hopefully he will share his updates with us.
I might post an empty rfm file (mod package file), meaning you can have your own F1 2013 series with the 19 tracks, the right tyres and altitude corrections and with the right parc fermé rules. By empty I mean the file assumes you have the same tracks already installed as I do. I won't post it anytime soon, as I'm again busy with work.
