1986 F1 cars are the most powerful Grand Prix cars to ever have raced (in quali 300-400 more HP than high revving V10 that most of us love from early 2000).
Benetton of 1986 had in quali easily over double of horsepower than in 1988. Quite big change in 2 years..

This is a hard question, but official top speed record is 372,6 km/h by Juan Pablo Montoya in Monza 2005, and not official is 378 km/h by Bottas in Baku 2016

EDIT: I may be wrong, there is a bit of confusion around lol, there is also Bottas in Mexico with 372km/h.

Sergio Perez here hit 370... damn the sound of the new cars really suck, but they are still so fast.
It shows HP is not everything for speed. What was the top speed of the HP monster bt55 ?
 
In monza BT55 had around 347 km/h the top speed. They had massive drag from huge rear wings (Cars used full wings for tracks like Monza too. Too dangerous to drive with low wings), so top speed were slower than aerodynamically much better newer car. Also narrow power band of 80's wont really help with top speeds. I think Honda 2005 had F1 car over 400 km/h, but was not official record. Made in somekind of dessert of something like that.

I taught the top speed from Bottas is best right now. Don't know why it would not be official?

I tried this Brabham 2 days ago. Absolutely fantastic !!! The first time I've actually felt the power of an F1 turbo car in a sim, especially in function of the revs range. Once you get to mid-high revs in 3rd gear: BLASTOFF ! Almost felt like I was in a shifter kart with a zillion times more power, so nice to feel ! Thank you to the crafter modders !

Anyone running a server for these? It's been about a week since I saw one and there's about 1000+ downloads so there must be some interest....
 
Some laps yesterday,great job:)
Just one thing,the car with no aero is quite the same driving than with a lot aero.
I'll do a video with a 88's track with my DD soon.
