[REL] F1 1979 HISTORIC EDITION 2.02 BY POSTIPATE

@Woodee , yep, that's something i forgot but the view is with a large fov so it doesn't look so bad ;)
Anyway, how to do it? :s
any help would be welcome and i'll do it ;)

I looked at the Williams for example and it looks like the mirror texture is in the right place (left and right red lines in the centre of each mirror), I think the vertical mapping of it is just too tall and needs reducing to be in proportion.

It was an interesting 1980 skipack for these cars in rfactor 1 it would be interesting to imlementate it to the rfactor 2 cars

**Edit**
Hi, i'm ready to relaese the new version.
Just a bit of patience because Postipate will send me some update from his side too and we plan to release the new update version in one hit.
I can just tell you that i'm proud ouf my work and really appreciate all the help recieved from @svictor @Postipate @Woodee.
**I forgot to mention the help and work of @Mauro for the icons. My bad ;)
Cheers and stay tuned ;)

All I did was point out things... you guys did all the hard work, no thanks needed :)
Lol, no you gave me some clues in this forum sometime. That's a help in my eyes.
For the bad news, i understand the mirror problem but i don't find yet how to change this value in 3dsimed.
I though it was possible to change it in material editor but it's not, or i'm missing something perhaps ;)
Cheers
(now if you find it, you will be rewarded for eternity at least lolll ;) )

Scale UV channel 0, vertically. It's a bit fiddly as you change the numbers but you need to remember the values you have used when adjusting as it resets to 1. So it is more an incremental change without knowing the overall tiling total.

Well I tried in vain to get the mirrors to play ball in 3dsimed. I am not sure what dictates the dimensions of the view without it being squished!

Yep, no luck here too. That will be for a future update but it's not as bad as my posted screenshots for now.

I'm on packaging stuff now, relaese very soon ;)

Mirror stretch issue is caused by UV mapping. You have to adjust UV value to fix.

In 3dsimed, you can manually adjust UV scale and position.
Note: you will have to first separate left mirror from right mirror, before doing adjustment, otherwise all mirror UV will change at once.
Below is an example, you can start with U scale 0.5 or 0.4, then adjust U offset (take some tries); then maybe also need adjust V scale (something like 1.4) and V offset:

Though I think the best way would be adjust UV in 3dsmax or blender for better accuracy.

I tried moving the UV scale but couldn't get it to work. Didn't know to separate the mirrors though. I managed to squish the mirror to scale but then had 3 repeats of the same image :D Even tried increasing the height of the mirror.bmp to see if that made a difference. Adjusting UVs in 3dsimed is not the most intuitive of things unfortunately.

I assume that if the mirror.bmp had a squares guide, it might be easier to get in proportion?
