F1 1976

Getting a license for 1976 F1 would be difficult, not to mention expensive. I don't think FOM themselves are fans of licensing out old seasons either, and Codemasters has the exclusive rights I think.

However they COULD license half or most of the cars separately from their manufacturers and package it as a "Historic Grand Prix" pack, avoiding FOM and F1 altogether since they aren't using/licensing the F1 product. Would be nice to get some tracks too, though most of them are already available as third party content on the Steam workshop.

Pre-1982 can be handled individually with the teams. Pros and cons to it, of course.

S397 partnership with Mauricio Leiva is real? is this will forbidden him to continue to developing his mod here?
Is this related somehow with postipate stopping modding?

I don't think so. Postipate is busy with life stuff, he said he might get back into it later in the year. Mauricio just disappeared without saying anything.

well, that sucks. Because the licensing stuff, like people are wondering, doesn't seem that s397 can provide 1976 full grid. Only a modder, like Postipate did with 1975 season, could give us that

Depends on how much the licensing costs. I'll happily pay for the 1976 pack if necessary, but S397 seem to be providing the Brabham and March for free.

But you're right, we can get away with illegally releasing cars as a modding community whereas the game developer can't... Unless they do it under an anonymous name as a "mod" lol.

@SL1DE
ehehe i will not hold my breath for that but it could be a solution like if we could get some cars released by s397 and the rest of the grid by some modder.
The problem is, i think, who would do almost entire grid and let 3 or 4 cars to be made by the official platform? If i was a modder, i wouldnt. i would prefer to do entire grid or nothing

Perhaps they're slowly releasing all the cars for free over the next year?
if there is a licensing issue, they cant do it officially
it is illegal not for a matter of the speed they would release
slowly killing some one still a murder lol

Mates!

Some things:
- I'm still working on this.
- I'm not dead. No conspiracy here :);)
- Tyrrell p34 can't be posible ... It could be simulated visually, but, in terms of physics, Isn't possible (as I understand it)
- I'll continue modeling these cars. It's my passion. I love this era (the most exciting from my point of view).

Greetings! ;):);):)

Welcome back! Happy to hear it. Are you anything to do with the Studio 397 cars, or just solo?

Thanks mauricio for your great work.
I love historic contents and i use simulators only for them (from Gpl times :) ).

As you said before, your target is to have a complete 1976 carset? If yes .... Lot of work :-)
