[WIP] F1 1967

I haven't driven these cars, but lap-times can't be used for reference between different versions of the same circuit (from wikipedia):

"For 2001, the entire circuit was repaved to meet FIA specifications, and is now 13 m (42 ft) wide. Drivers were consulted to ensure the character of the "old" track was kept; almost all the "racing lines" have been maintained."

Any width change in the track, on cars that won't have the pick-up power of today and depending more from momentum, will cause several seconds of lap differential.
I’m pretty skeptical about judging grip based on just one track. Take Kyalami ’76 for example — I can’t make the cars slow enough to get realistic lap times there.

The problems with the comparisons with Sim tracks is most of them are only vague representations of the real world. Too short, too long, too wide/narrow, hills too severe or not enough. grip levels as already mentioned here are probably impossible to match.
Just my thoughts based on many years of creating or adjusting these same tracks.
I still love them but dont expect to match or be the next Moss.

I tried the new test Lotus and find it a fun car to drive, getting some drift etc. with lower grip tires. Lap times are still a bit fast at Mosport (1:19.0) but probably due to the Track's grip level is high. The brake bias on the Lotus was a little too far forward.

Tracks have their own grip values, also, most mod tracks don't have the bumps which any track of that era was bound to have, one way or the other.

Case in question:

Bad braking on these matchboxes* and loss of traction due to bumps should account to a large chunk of the pace differential instead of the tyres.

* for instance, brake-fading should make it difficult to attack a series of turns aggressively

I just posted a quote from wiki that says that the track was widened so... it's not the cars being too fast, it's the driving conditions being vastly different.

I'm enjoying this mod a lot, took the Ferrari around The 67 Ring, feels really good and fun to drive. I love the feel you get driving these cars!
