Extremely Dangerous Unexpected Behavior in rF2

I was caught out yesterday with my SC2 Pro that I run at the full 26Nm - I restarted an offline race while testing mirror settings on a packed grid and boom… Caught me totally by surprise as we don’t get it on normal race starts.

Fortunately no damage done though.

While we’re here…. At the opposite end of the spectrum we are *still* (it’s always been there in my experience) getting FFB failure when, for example, quitting to pits in a practice session and then immediately going back out on track. I’ve had a dedicated button assigned to “reset FFB’ for this purpose for years (and with two completely different wheelbases, so don’t blame them….)

…and why, oh, why can’t we have an in-car FFB % control?

Has these problems been acknowledged by someone from S397 or someone needs to go to Discord to make sure it’s acknowledged ?

It's already said multiple times.
And even specifically if this also needs to be posted in the bug section to get the right amount of attention.
You could try to send a PM.
I gave up to be honest, not my problem.
Feedback seems to be a real oneway system at S397.

I have also been experienced this, DD2 user here.
I almost damaged my wrist, as I run quite high output on the wheel base.
What I have been doing to prevent the problem is to never go to the menu before having the wheel fully static on “zero” position.

I had the same problem with an AI race last night.
Restarted a Fpro race with standing start, and the wheel was lined up correct before start, but my wheel turned 180 degrees.
Normally I have a firm grip but this one time it took me by surprise.

Maybe the solution could be something like delaying FFB and activate it with a soft curve at race start?

I can't believe this is still a thing, I stopped playing the game shortly after buying it, waiting for Developers to catch up with modern DD controllers.

Why not remove DD wheel controllers from the game until you have figured out a solution?

At the Moment the game is far to dangerous to use.

I Shall Bump this Thread daily.

BUMP.

Hey Fanboy,

I did not state that "You" can not use it, just that DD controller should be removed on grounds of safety, until the problem is resolved.

I would rather revert to my g27 or a joypad, to play a game, than have another Snapped wrist.

the game is meant to be fun after all, ie Better to be Safe than Sorry,

I see no problems using my DD even though I have experienced it a few times.
Its a powerful base, and your pc can give wrong signal to it either if its in a game or not, so always be careful. If you feel unsafe, you can use your stop button until game starts.

Hey Fanboy,

Posting anything Negative about a game you love is considered "Ridiculous" by default, Because there cannot be anything wrong by default.

Everything is Perfect with RF2.

Feel Better?

Hadn't played the game in months because of sound issues and decided to fire it up again last night, and BAM happened to me again.

I have to say, this is a dangerous problem that I don't experience with any other game. As much as I love this game (did need a break from it because of aggravations) but if something like this isn't a PRIORITY for Studio 397 then sadly I don't have much hope for this title anymore.

I am just a casual/fun user which probably make up a large percentage of whatever base there is for RF2. If things like this aren't being taken care of then how do you expect things to grow?

When I see what has been done with AC by, for all intents and purposes, 2 guys it amazes me that progress on issues/complaints that have lagged on RF2 for years. Sad
