I try to explain... On day 1 i practice on, lets say lemans. At the end of the session i get asked to save the "ghost car data" of my fasted lap. On day 2 i practice again on lemans and again the "ghost car data" of my fasted lap gets saved. Then i start the replay, select these two laps and choose "compare". Now i can watch the replay and can see both cars from tvcam or can switch onboard in one of the two cars. That would be really fun to watch and would help to analyze what was good or not so good. It should be able to share these "ghost car data files" with friends. Dont know if all that is possible, but just had this in my mind.
Definitely possible, because a third party tool had this in rF1. I don't think it ever had the same functionality in rF2. You could see what this one does, someone linked to the download on the last page, but it sounds like it might not always work right: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/rf2-replay-office-set-of-tools.45062/ But I like the idea - having that sort of comparison in game would be cool, and even some special cameras (like a drone mode, so you can hover over corners as the cars go through) would further enhance it.
