    Hi,

A friend of mine drove the exact same qualify time as me. Both 1.31.348

Altough I drove it first. He got the pole. Why is that? Does rFactor sort it alfabetically, or is there an invisible counter that goes further than thousands?

    Thanks!

The game provides 'float' values to plugins, which are precise to 6 or 7 decimal places (maximum) for laptimes. I would presume this is what it uses internally and sorts by that; but I agree it would be better to be precise only as displayed, same as real series do (unfortunately it would be yet another aspect to have to simulate, since some series go to thousandths and others to ten-thousandths).

I would be confident your friend did go (slightly) faster, so you haven't been cheated. It's just a little unclear.

Computers calculate time in ticks, displayed time is only an output in a timescale you can understand, as someone said, your friend was faster than you, even if just of a fraction of time so tiny that is not displayed.

The same time after ONLY 1 lap?

This is me and my mate posting the exact same 'race-time' after 35 laps! :p
(Excuse the quality of the footage, cameras weren't that great in 1974!)
