    I've been looking at the VolumeFract=() in rF2 engine file and to me it looks like a throttle response curve (torque multiplier vs throttle input). So I made my own map and tried it rF2 but nothing changed. I also tried more extreme tests such as a step function, exponential etc but nothing changed (checked it with MOTEC for longitudinal acceleration versus throttle input, and I always get a linear response).

    So I hoped someone could answer what VolumeFract=() is and if it is implemented in Build 101?

    I was thinking more for the Volume Fraction for the gasses in the combustion chamber at different rpms...and I think are working right now as you can get different engine behavior if you put your hands on those curves.

    Solved it. It was one number written incorrectly. Now I get the throttle response according to the VolumeFraction curve

    Sorry to jump in here. :)
    @vancstar Some more Information about your Problem would help. ;)
    But if an Engine revs in an unusual Way, i always would at first check and play around with the EngineInertia Value from the Engine.ini File.
    Especially in converted Mods, it's "wrong" very often.

    I get a weird throttle response as the engine responds only once I have pressed the accelerater about 80% down. It makes it very doughy in response to usng the throttle.
    But I am building a few kart engines and just trying to understand this new system as it has been a long time since I edited an engine in rF2.

    That is also an important Aspect.
    Where is the Engine.ini coming from?
    Is it from a rF1 -> rF2 Conversion?
    Did you generate it by using the Michael Borda Physics Spreadsheet?
    Editing such Files manually can easily end in a weird Behaviour.
    If you can not get it fixed, i can offer to take a Look at it, if you want.
