[WIP] EnduranceRacingX PX by URD Pre-order with beta access available!

The S397 Dev Blog got updated this past weekend. There's an updated version of the spreadsheet as well as an updated description for the tire examples. I don't have the previous GT3 tires to compare to but there's def GT3/GTE tires in that list.

@UnitedRacingDesign

1) What are the future GTE/URD cars, and what are the expected times (we can not wait, your cars are good ;) ).

2) Will the mod PX be updated, can we "play card on table"?
I begin to accept, with spite, that it will not be updated.

Maybe we are all wrong, let's wait what URD has to say.
If they update Detroit to GT3 tire+decent BOP in order to race with Endupack cars I am more than happy!
Well I dont think I'm wrong. Anyway I think S397 is pretty busy building the "severall McLaren cars" they mentioned in the road map for the upcoming event so if these tires haven't been released yet it's going to take a while.

I can't found a link for Detroit GT which I guess I should be able do download since I bought URD EGT, am I missing something?

The Detroit is not part of the old EGT so you have to pay for it. Having said that, you might just want to wait until they fix pit stop times. At the moment the car is useless vs the S397 GTE's if you do races with pit stops. Below is the link if you still want to buy it.

We want to fully match with GTE cars...waiting on the tires so we can update that thing properly.

No offense, but isn't that what you guys are always waiting on? New tire model? I am assuming S397 is not making the tire model public for modders and the like? If that is the case do you guys have to buy the model from S397? I am not a modder in any sense of the word and dont know any of the ins and outs of how to make a Mod like yours.

@Depco ,S397 will always be ahead one step from the public tire model.I think the same will happen when new lighting tech will come. They keep all the new tech for their own dlc's and let previous ones public for modders.URD Detroit and every other GTE or GT3 car imo will never get the latest tire or other tech from S397.I think it's logical and nobody can blame them, especially CPM tire is a selling point for studio dlc's.I would like Apex and Urd cars to have the latest tire and gizmos but I don't think will ever happen.

No, that's not how it works. Everything is available to modders.

i think yes everything is available to modders
and if i remember correct apex modding group uses the latest cpm ? correct?
I think I saw one or 2 posts saying they make their own (which makes sense considering the bugs that have been reported are not present in sample tires), I dont understand why they do it but everyone has their own goals.
But yes the tires are made available for modders after a while, the previous one also took a while to appear

So just correct me if I'm off base

The tools to create the current grade of content is available to modders, but not everything is available. Here are two examples.

GT3 Tires - The Pirelli World Challenge website lists what tires sizes are used for which car, (http://files.world-challenge.com/vehicletech/tires/2018-PWC-PirelliTireList-GT.pdf). For example, the BMW Z4 GT3 uses the same exact tires as the Mercedes AMG. The Z4 should be using the same files as the AMG, but as far as I know, as I could be missing a measurement conversion, but I don't see that tire file listed on the Dev Guide tire database (https://docs.studio-397.com/developers-guide/cars/car-physics/tyre-database). Something if I had a Cadillac model I wanted to put ingame. I shouldn't have to worry about creating tire files, as they are on the AMG. But with them not available, and not being able to see the files, they would have to be built from scratch.

LMP3 - A similar thing with the LMP3. Almost everything is spec in that series. Engine (and sounds), tires, brakes, steering wheel etc. Enduracers have a great Ligier model that would be a great addition for the Norma. But because things are locked down, they do not use the same files, and as a result, are not competitive with each other.

So in that, everything is not available for modders. I understand there is NDAs with manufactures. Weather it is tire data or physics. And everything is behind a pay wall. It's just disappointing to see that content that is fully complete, tested and accurate, cannot be used for additional 3rd party addons/mods.

No, I'm saying that the tools made to make the tires are not different from the ones s397 use. The person I was replying to said that the public stuff was different to the private stuff.

For anyone that is unaware, United Racing Design have been fairly active on Twitter recently. We're going to see updates to JT5 (DX11/Shaders) and what I believe is DTM (DX11/Shaders). However, we still have no further news on PX, the MOD which has seemingly been a "beta" phase for multiple, multiple years.

I have a feeling we will no longer see EGT or PX again. An utter shame for offline racing, as well as online too. If PX was released updated, with better sounds, I would pay for this again!

We will update the Aura, Shiro and Darche PX1 cars with all the latest dx11 stuff plus physics updates-we will check if sounds to as we are slightly limited right now there. The PX2 cars are included with enduracers package allready. EGT as explained in its thread.

First T5 2018 comes out. Than we will release Shiro JT5 updates and Detroit EGT. I hope for all 3 things to be ready next week.
Than i will try to jump to PX updates for a week before we continue with our SCGT...
