[REL] EnduranceRacingX EGT by URD Update V2 July 2016!

This is on every racing car, it is designed for you to take inside curbs in corners to add even more weights to outside wheels, increasing grip, but only in case maximum tyre patch is touching the road - massive camber, if your driving style is avoiding curbs or simply the specific track has too agressive curbs, than you need to reduce the camber a lot

 

There is no automatic clutch. It doesn´t exists in professional motor racing. The gearbox shifted with paddles is a sequential one, which allows you to shift, without using the manual clutch via auto lift and auto blib. Only in some cars with a sequential shifter you have to use heel & toe, but not in all, mostly with older systems. An automatic clutch is only used bei serial cars like SMART with an automated gearbox which ist based on an usual manual gearbox.

 

This I can guarentee; there is a clutch, but it's only used to start from a complete standstill, like exiting your pit box...

It's not used during gear changes... The engine management sorts that, once the paddle or sequential stick is pull either the fuel or the ignition or both is cut... If only ignition is cut you'll get the bang and possible backfire because there is unburned fuel in the exhaust system, from previous cycle cause there were no ignition to burn that fuel due to gear change... It's a waste of fuel so it's rarely seen in top professional racing...

This I can't guarentee; in some GT cars I've heard that nurse the materials drivers are lifting during upshifts anyhow and sometimes even clutching when downshifting... Depends on how well-adjusted and optimized the whole system is I guess...

Bjorn, ignition cuts only work during upshifts (at least on my motorbike with speed shifter). I don't think it works for downshifts?

Or would that be the "Auto Blip" mentioned above...

When and why did they actually all move to rearward cameras instead of mirrors? It's a bit of a shame that the cockpits are being so look-alike these days.

Thinking here for example of a DBR9 with the red LED Light indicators... these days everyone has the same MOTEC, highly similar steering wheel...

 

It could merely be a case of economics, inter-changeability.

 

most of the supercars have very tiny little rear window that is covered with rear wing, the middle mirrors are often completelly useless in them

 

Another thing is that many cars have cockpit backside commpletly closed to like the vette, venom and even darches cockpit is allmost completly closed.

 

i noticed yesterday, with AM in particular, that moving seat position the virtual mirrors became totally offset and impossible to adjust (shift+seat position keys): visual become shifted to the left side and is impossible to see if a car is beside, in overtaking, and the distance from her.

 

Any updates promised for tonight?

 

Today or tomorow new package, improved alot(sounds, physics tweaks, some textures...) And vette will be new with cockpit and new sounds just maybe a day later.
