Hello dear friends from rFactor 2 forum. I’m new at rFactor 2 and need some help with AI driver.. I would like to race some endurances, and I play alone, then I make some turns with the AI. I used this way in other racing simulators. I was testing this way to race at rFactor 2 and I can’t call the AI driver to the PIT when I want that he stops.. Is that possible? To request the AI to enter at the PIT anytime? Or he just come in when he “want”? Sorry about this newbye question. Thans for any help. Patrick
Try only changing drivers during a pitstop. Just pressing the I key lets a default driver take over. Using the pitstop option allows a true co-driver...if the cars allow that...I still don't know if you can recall them to the pits tho. That feature WAS available in GTR2
Yes, i only change the driver during the pits, this is perfect.. but when the AI driver is on the track, i can’t call him to the pits again.. Is there a way to request him to come into the pits whenever i want? Or i must only wait? Thanks! Patrick
just take over again when you want the ai tot pit. I Always do that, after pitstop, i let ai take over again
Press "I" again to resume control and drive to the pits yourself, pretending it's the AI? Recall AI is not available. Used to be a feature of SCGT, too.
Thank you Emery! And, if let AI race without limits.. When he will come to pits? When tyres become too wear, or at the very end of fuel? Or both? Or what those happen frist? What is the criteria to AI come to pits when he is driving? Thank you for any help Patrick
mainly fotr fuel first. Frpm what i know the ai Always picks the hardest compound tyre (dry races), so they pit when they have to refuel. If you top of your car before the start and you van drive 25 laps, the ai will also roughly drive 25 laps before refueling.
