duplicate files in rf2

I have been trying to remove some duplicate vehicle and location files from the rf2 installed folder; - eg. Watkins Glen 2016/0.92
/0.92(1)
When I delete the duplicate 0.92(1) the game just re installs it when I start the game. Many duplicate files are taking a lot of disk space on my rig.

What happens, when you delete the 0.92 and then rename the 0.92(1) into 0.92?

Hi, did you try checking Mod Manager for errant rfmods.
If you have any old rfmods installed that contain old content it will be held hostage.

have you tried to locate and deleting the rfcmp package file in Packages folder?

OK, thank you all for your help. The winning solution is...(drum roll)...redapg ...delete 0.92 etc. It worked.
