Hello everybody. I have a question about the DRS. How do you recognize which vehicle DRS has? That brings me straight to my next question. Does the Norma LMP3 have DRS? I'm wondering how to get to Sebring at under 2:00 min with this car. That's almost impossible. But it's a cool car anyway.
Hi Memo, Wikipedia; DRS was introduced in Formula One in 2011. The use of DRS is an exception to the rule banning any moving parts whose primary purpose is to affect the aerodynamics of the car. The system is also used in the Formula Renault 3.5 since 2012[2], Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters since 2013[3], FIA Formula 2 Championship since 2015 and GP3 Series since 2017. An adjustable wing was also used by the Nissan DeltaWing at the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans, although with free usage.
Never tried this car at Sebring, but if a 2:00-2:01 is a GT3 time, and a 1:57-1:58 is a GTE time, the Norma should go under 2:00 easily (??), i'll try later.
This Norma is for me very difficult to master. NO TC no ABS. Maybe the suspension ist too soft (Default Serup). I must give this a try to make the slow bumper stiffer. I hope this is the key.. The fast bumps must be very soft in Sebring. Well its a taff challange with this car.
Norma LMP3 is no aids car and it is hard to make setup to get under 2.00 min. It took me 3 evenings to make setup before I was able to get 1.57.
@memoNo1 Are you using soft tires, so do you have selected "unrestricted" tires in the tuning menu? Also which aero packacge are you using?
You have also soft tires if you selelct "unrestricted" in the tuning menu, unless you are practicing in a league and the soft tires are not allowed (which would be strange). You can (and you should) select the areo package in the tuning menu as well. ----- Ok i understand now, with "tuning menu" i'm referring to the showroom where you have the upgrades, is called "tuning" in the english version but it may be called "showroom" in other languages (in my language - italian - is showroom).
That is interesting! Thank you. BUT the showroom does not work anymore. I constantly have only a black picture. I think S397 is already known ..
I use the official hangar showroom and it works for me, anyway, are you still able to select the upgrades? If yes do it and forget medium tires I'd use the high downforce package in Sebring.
Its quite a few months since I raced Sebring in the LMP3 but I remember it was a hard combination due to the bumpy track.
Mate.. all what I can you give for tonight is a 1:59:488! Not the best right. But it is a good begin!! Soft Tires and Stiffer Damper (Low) and Springs here are the key for sucsess. Great Car and also a fantastic Track!
