DRM Revival, still not possible on rF2?

In the other end, RSS modding is not so far from reaching enough on Patreon to
make two 1979 IMSA GT Championship cars:
  1. Porsche 935
  2. BMW 320 CSL
 
It is a concidence, yesterday I was thinking about how AC absorbed modding and car enthusiasts away from rFactor community, and ended up thinking about the DRM mod... I think they pushed AC really well, and they even showed more creative approach, instead of just straight up copying Kunos, which has earned little bit of stormy discussions back in the day they realeased the mod for AC. I wonder how much they would be able to push rF2, but I am afraid they wouldn't have time anymore, and also this community has been converted into modernism, calssics seems to have been pushed to shadows...

Well woochoo and me have been working ourselves out of sanity with 1967 and 1954 mods, and I keep on improving physics to be principally as correct and honest as I can get them. Eventually these projects has a potential to be something like HistoricX (because the packs contain historic racecars). For example getting more 1:1to reality 3D models, but it would require insane efforts, and way much more modders to join and contribute. Which I guess speaking of my physics is still not even clear if people enjoy them at all or not. I haven't observed much of interest in the community. I am continuing on improving physics out of pure interest and enthusiasm, almost no other motivation.
 
Indeed, I received an email from drm_modding_team announcing the update of the mod on AC. But I uninstalled AC to focus only on rF2...
We still have some solid cores focused on the history, it is developing but not as much as we would like. We will have to deal with it.
 
some one have converted it, allowed or not.... or its DRM themself?

I would happily buy it for 15€ if they ever would make it for rf2.
If S397 can encrypt their content why should it not be possible for DRM modding?

yeah the AC fanboys never cease to amaze me - truth is most of the stock cars are shit. FFB wise AC is one of the worst games in my mind (rubber bands come to mind) being on par with PC2 and still people argue otherwise. ACC doesn't improve much (vague AF) in this regard so I think Kunos just don't have a good feel for FFB. And I really don't care what people say - whether it's the only true physics driven or fake canned FFB if it feels like shit I'm gonna call it shit. AMS and RF2 FTW in this regard, no contest.

NOTE TO SELF: weird how everytime I talk AC I end up moaning how bad the FFB is...

just for your information regarding the DRM REVIVAL MOD for rf2.

Already more than 3 teams have tried to finish a conversion from rf/AC to rf2, with our permission!!!!!. All of them failed, none of them finished the work.
DRM MODDING TEAM has tried it themselves in 2019 and have also given up after one car. I do not want to start unnecessary discussions about why, but we were not convinced of our work and the result. We had very good help from the team 397, but we then invested the time in a new car for AC.
I can't promise anything, but in the meantime we found a modding team that started the conversion from AC to rf2. Let's see if they finish it successfully.
Let's wait to see what the progress will be, then I can give more information

This is by far the best news a SimRacer heart could ever dream of for a very long time. Even much better than DRM at SimRacingSystem back then – how much fun we had there?! I'm super excited and can't wait, it feels like Christmas and birthday on the same day right now. Please let this dream come true! If there's anything I can do to help, PLEASE let me know. rFactor 2 made such great progress lately, it not only feels as always damn good, but now looks awesome too! Currently I'm not driving anything else. So I hope @studio397 supports you, because the unique DRM Mod is the very best mod I have ever seen, heard or driven and will definitely take rFactor 2 a very big step forward.

Nice to see some work beink made to bring this mod to RF2.

Perhaps S397 would take the challenge and do this themsselves (even as a DLC).

It would be awesome for an online championship.
