DRM Revival, still not possible on rF2?

He's indicating it's never getting released. The Scirocco was announced by Live for Speed devs almost decades ago, with another game update, but it never happened.
ATTENTION: only my personal Opinion:
Shall i add now all 1.395.761.576+ Things that have been announced but never were released?
When we get an official Statement from Dennis or another DRM Member, we'll know what will happen.
We have enough Threads here with Sites full of Assumptions, that make no Sense at all.

Hi guys, I deleted the post because I thought it could cause confusion. When I commented about the mods that were available I was referring to "pay2021" work. Ford Capri Zakspeed and BMW 320 along with the Porsche 935 by Thomas

But for what is essentially a 20 year old game. It could be converted to rF2 without much trouble.

Spoken like a person who has no idea what goes into and how difficult good modding takes. And last I checked, AMS was released in 2016, last updated in 2018/2019, and has a lot of differences to rF1. But let's wait and see if enough people ask them to convert it.

LOL, spoken like someone who makes unfounded assumptions when confronted with an opinion counter to their own.
Personally I'm done with this thread, and really hope that team goes through with rF2 conversion, but to ignore a game simply because of it's age without even trying it is the real unfounded assumption here. I'd love for you to go to them and say "hey can you convert all the cars you just spent ages working on, trust me its easy!!!" - fucking hilarious.

@Jason19 At first, i would recommend to read the whole Thread, to be able to judge it.
And then i would like to see some of your "it's easy" Conversions to rFactor 2.

but to ignore a game simply because of it's age

I gave up using original rFactor and Automobilista when I started using triple 4k monitors 4 years ago. People with VR probably feel the same way. Those games simply do not support these more recent developments. Doesn't mean I don't have rF and AMS still installed for reference, but, for gameplay? Nope, ain't gonna happen.

@Jason19 Cyril could use some help with the making of this mod. You know, reference collection, some work to do with 3DSMax and Photoshop, liveries, physics files, stuff like that. Instead of complaining you could volunteer. Afaik he's all alone making this mod. Maybe there are two or three friends helping, but that's it.
To give you a reference, the making of a mod like PNG for GTR2 took years and way more people.
And making a conversion of the DRM mod to RF2 is not a joke. If you have the patience, then wait. If not, well move on. But stop coming here to complain, because it's not a content that you paid for.

So is there a proper DRM mod for rF2, or isn't there ?

I experimented with one car for myself, and I see no reason these couldn't be amazing in rF2, more amazing than they were before anywhere else. It worked out very nicely for me. I talk about physics.

"Pro" tip :D. In case you aren't so savvy that you can make whole tire from scratch and make it epic, use March 761 tire as a basis. That tire in my opinion could be best made tire in rF2. Then chassis and the rest should come easy in comparison if you have basic know how.

Edit:
Just watched some of the thread previews from Cyril. Maybe it was not bad. Hard to be precise judging from videos, epic sounds adds a lot. But the cars roadholding looked to be firm as it should be. Maybe it looked a bit on the well behaving side, not nervous and nuanced enough, but that also could be style of driving.

I just noticed Cyril has released bunch of epic BTCC cars from 90s, I will definitely be testing them, very exciting cars, how could I have missed them ?? Is something wrong about them, why no one are talking about them despite them having lots of subscriptions ?

Oh.... I forgot. People don't talk anymore.

I wonder what is the direction. dmatzies hasn't visited this place for two years, and Cyril for over half year.

Cyril's BTCC are great and via his Patreon he has released more for his subscribers.
Tommy78 sells amazing 1980 and 1990's touring cars (BTCC, ATCC, DTM) - including Supra, Sierra, 635CSI, Kadett GSI, Holden Commodore VK, Volvo 240, Golf GTI, and the 1989 and 1990 DTM cars... All with historical liveries and specific versions for each championship (milking the cow, but his work is really good)...
