Downshift Protection

Idea/Suggestion: Implement a downshift protection feature in all vehicles that have it in real life, to prevent unrealistic downshift spamming and more importantly, blown engines from unintentional extra downshifts made too quickly. Other sims already have this feature for the purpose of accurate simulation.

we need the opposite: realistic gearbox model with damage

currently, especially with historic cars, you can upshifting and downshifting without lift throttle, totally unrealistic

We don´t need the opposite only, we do need both because both are elements of a simulation.

Part of a realistic gearbox model would be downshift protection, as in modern GT, prototype and formula cars it is a common and useful feature.
