Donington or Brands Hatch with good AI?

two methods, A( extract the file to the track folder. B) wait for the workshop version to be updated by the original uploader.
How do you extract to the track folder? All I see is mas files. When I try to open it and replace the aiw within the brandsgp mas, it doesn't work. Can you please lend a noob a hand? :)

  • Decompress the mas file to a folder with "...\rFactor 2\Support\Tools\MAS2.exe"
  • Create a new .mas with the new AIW (drag and drop the files to the MAS2.exe and save the mas.
  • Create a rfcmp including all the .mas of the circuit (replacing the mas that contained the old aiw with the new one).

This would get a lot of view I bet!
The thing with AIW creation is it's not a hard process you just need to be able to do a fast lap with a decent racing line, it just becomes a tme consuming process because you need to test, test and re-test against AI. I'm working on Leguna Seca at the moment and getting different classes of tintops to behave through the Corkscrew there is a nightmare.

Creating an AI line in Assetto Corsa is pretty easy and I always wanted to do that in RF2, too. However I’m really a bit overwhelmed by all these steps. Would be nice to see a How-To video by you.

Hey I recognize your username from AC and RD forums. Thank you for doing so many good AIs for AC.

You could create FAST Paths for different Cars, but it's a lot more work...a lot more!

Hey mate, I actually wanted to say a massive thanks to you, because I wouldn't even be at the level I am creating AIW's now if it wasn't for your help over at RD, so thank you mate I really appreciate the time you took to answer my original questions over there.

Also I'd actually consider doing that for the BMW M6 GT3 because it's rear suspension setup for AI is completely broken.

No problem happy to help :)
Hopefully in the not too distant future I'll be more involved in AI again, busy wedding planning!

In the meantime PM me the details of the BMW and I'll try and take a look this weekend, if it is broken I'll forward that on to S397 :)

Congrats mate :)
I'll link you the video I took of it around Laguna Seca, the car looks like a road car with dead rear shocks, the rear just continually bounces. So when it hits the brake point for the Corkscrew which is slightly to the right before the left downhill it bounces the car at that angle causing it to lose traction and spin. None of the other cars behave like this, I've messaged @Christopher Elliott but haven't had a response yet.

The Laguna Seca AIW works great. You have done a very good job, Sir :) Thanks so much :)

Maybe some ideas for further projects: Macao and the very slow AIW of Hungaroring

I'd like to create a new AIW for Cadwell Park, as it's one of my all time favourite tracks so I might record the process on that one as it's a shorter cirtcuit.

I love that track too mate.

I hope one day we will get a laser scanned version of Cadwell. And from Laguna and Atlanta Motorsport ...
