is there a way to uninstall unwated dlc's from the game so i dont need to waste my disc space for some useless tracks and cars?

Head to the content section you can uninstall anything you bought from the store.
yep, did it and steam still makes me download all the content. ive selected 7 dlcs and both the game and steam makes me download all the content

As far as I know there is no way to unsubscribe DLC.

The only work around I know is to run Steam in Offline Mode but that in itself is problematic.

Open Mod manager and uninstall and delete any series/ rfmods that contain the same DLC.
Uninstall and delete the DLC from Mod Manager.

As I said, problem with that is you can't tell Steam to run offline for just one title.

Really you can't remove any DLC from any sim I know, why rF2 should be different ?

There is... in game content manager.

delete "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop" and make a file with the same name so steam could not make that folder again. hardlink to workshop on external disk works too.
delete any "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Locations" and Vehicles but not CorvetteC6_PC.
download content with steamcmd, install with bin64\modmgr
live with "100500 pending updates" message

What is "content manager "
Do you mean Mod Manager ?

All the ways to ignore or think you have removed DLC are one thing, half arsed.

1. Remove rF2 from your library buy it again without DLC ( shrugs )
2. Buy another SSD / HDD ( shrugs ) :)

rF2 is different as in it does not have a DLC workshop page.
Even when you ask to completely remove a title from your library it still keeps it in case you change your mind.

Right, the biggest thing you can do in rF2 to save space which is what thread is for.
SIMPLE: Archive ALL 3rd party workshop content ;)
I have 200GB archived ( all installed ) which makes the problem with DLC kind of immaterial.
You can make multiple package folders, anywhere anyhow you like and install through Mod Manager.
The "UNUSED" content is only unused track and car fixes I have yet to need.

It will take time to set up but if you were me you would save 195GB for the copies in workshop, a lot more then DLC.
You can then put all that on a slower less expensive drive. ( on Gen 5 it costs as much as the sim )
Even now cheapest 1TB Gen 5 here is $250AU and by mid year these prices are set to explode.

In Mod Manager is a drop down list to point to any "Package" folder. B= Browse X= Delete
The best thing about this system, it does not need Steam or rFactor 2 to be running.

No.... in game.

You have been able to uninstall store items since the new UI arrived.

Impossible for my rF2 UI :)
IE: Every piece of content is linked to rfmods.
Otherwise any of your content is up for grabs and as has happened can be removed by the owner.

Just like it's engine, rF2 DLC store is unique :p

Well you have your backup regime... as you have said over and over and over and over. Even if they do disappear you will still have the rfcmps to install later.

Doesn't stop others from uninstalling their DLC (store items) to leave only the ones they will use.
