Does colour really have anything to do with dashboardelement shader? I've seen blue motecs - they shouldn't work then, should they? :D @StrawmanAndy

Hit me with default textures? DW12 doesn't contain one...

EDIT: I have an assumption... I'll try and pack it up as an rfcmp and see if that changes anything... If so it smells like a conflict somewhere in my moddev folder

If it's looking yellow in 3dsimed, I adjust the colour on the texture so it looks more red/orange etc in game. It can have an effect, if the colour is too dark I find it doesn't glow as well.

You said I needed to change the texture to orange/red when using that shader... That's not really true... I can make it blue and it would still work... Blue disc glow, that's the new sh*t!

Now I'm testing if I even need a default texture, not even named discglow.dds :)

Different texture, different name (not discglow)

Obviously a conflict with a T1-set of discglow gmts somewhere in my mod-dev folder...
    So err... Bye :D

My point was sometimes if the colour isn't bright enough the glow isn't as effective. I made the point because I have had an experience with a blue texture not being very bright in game (when using dash shader). Made the texture brighter, and the glow was brighter.

That's great news and good to know, will update my cars I think, should have known moddev cannot be trusted but it really is a pain in the butt having to pack stuff up to check stuff in single player.

I am however disappointed to find yet another item that does not work in the moddev environment versus the single player one.

The picture I posted was from devmode, so it definitely works.

It could be down to the car loaded as the safetycar in DevMode overriding the materials with the same name on your car Bjørn. Had something similar happen to me in the past.

It probably does... But if you have projects that has discglow material, that is just set up with T1-shader, there's obviously a risk of it conflicting with discglow material, that is set up differently (like dashboardelement) negating the different setting... Pretty normal when you can't make the material name unique.

    Same goes for LEDFY, etc...

In cockpit info WARNINGLED=XXLED, you can name them to be unique so that won't happen.

Can you elaborate a bit more?

    Custom callout?
    WARNINGLED = LEDFY

    Could that be S7R-LEDFY=LEDFY then?

Yes, you would put WARNINGLED = S7R-LED

@Coutie but what about all the rest? Blue flag, fuel warning, temp warning, pit req, pit accepted - all of them? Can they be made unique, all of them?
