I wish for a release (something more than the quad) with dirt physics. Let the modders take it from there. I'm convinced that they would!
Don't hold your breathe, I've been beating this drum for awhile now. If ISI is looking for a shot in the arm for sales, adding real road to a dirt surface, a late model and a dirt oval would do it. I guarantee it but like I said, I've been beating this drum for awhile now.
Well I would think it would be unwise of them to suddenly start working on loose surface modelling when the hard surface model is still being worked on...I.E the CPM, working on RealRoad, not to mention weather/the water on track, which would be a big part of loose surface (Moisture in the top layer, etc). It would certainly see a shot in the arm of anger from the community XD They said they will eventually though, and I really hope they do. Gravel Sprints, Rally, Speedway, CORR/Hillclimb stuff...sounds awesome and would truly become an all round racing simulator covering many classes.
Irrelevant IMO. You can't please everybody and it's important for a business owner/provider/developer to know and recognise this. If I get pissed off and walk away from rF2, does that affect ISI in any way? No it doesn't.
That was just a bit of a joke there... You can't please everybody and you also can't do everything at once. To stop hard surface work at this stage to begin a new loose surface model would take a long time to actually see release I reckon. Whole new bunch of tech. And on the side you still have an unfinished tarmac model...with a handful of devs, talk of spreading yourself thin...and not pleasing anyone as a result.
If they do it will be another plus, I just cant see AC or pCARS physics ever being acceptable in dirt. rfactor proved to be the dirt playground. The other ace up the sleeve is Free Roam Cross country capture the flag on V8 mopeds lool . ie: You could pay for a separate version for dirt modelling, tyres, mud etc
I would as well. I think it's a whole separate, highly populated market waiting to be added for profit for a dev.
Me 3 I mean we can't expect all that as add-ons. If we are prepared to pay the money is there for a whole new version. I would really like to see rF3 further the concept by developing separate builds for series. That way each engine could be further enhanced for models and tyres. You would buy what you want to race, GT/Road, Historic, Modern Open Wheel, Dirt, Drag Racing, etc etc Drivers on each server list would be like minded.
I would pay good dollars for a Drag series build along with Historics. 36 or more cars at NHRA events Push / Pull back to pits Realistic Christmas Tree and timing lights ie: stage deep Proper slicks Parachutes Oh my
