I’m building a new car (mod) for rF2 in 3d studio max 2010. I have successfully exported the car body, car interior and all 4 wheels with rims and tires following the car tutorial (PDF). Everything seems and looks correct in the preview scene of my brand new vehicle, but as soon as I go to the track with that vehicle, from a distant camera view I see my car’s wheels placed incorrectly. They are very close to each other and do not match the position with the car body.

    What’s wrong? please help!

Check your HDV file for correct wheel positions, wheelbase and track.

Do you use other LODs than A? If yes, then check if wheels for that LODs have pivot points at 0,0,0.

what does LODs and A mean? sorry..
pivot points aren't at 0.0.0. because as tutorial explains, they must be at the centre of each wheel because of rotating...

Editing the suspension file might help also. Cannot remember now what you need to edit but maybe some phys-expert can explain.

He said "from a distant camera view I see my car’s wheels placed incorrectly". Because he mentioned "distant camera", I thought the issue might be with wheels for further lod levels.
