I did a (very high object count) track that loads fine in DEV mode.
Not a single error, not even with a lots of cars.
Framerates and drawcalls are perfectly in line with other lesser detailed tracks.
But after packing the same files and installing them the following problem arises.
As soon as it starts to load the installed track I get GMT loading errors.
    While all GMT's are present.
When I start removing about half of the objects from the SCN it starts to loads fine.
But in the DEV mode the track was working perfectly fine already with that amount of objects.
Did some serious grouping of objects, to get the amount of instances down.
But still not good enough for getting accepted by regular version.
Other tracks I pack work just fine also.

Does the DEV mode accept so much more instances/objects than the regular version?
Or is there a maximum amount of data the track can store in the sim?
Why is there such a sizeable difference?
Or did I bump in to a bug your guys overlooked?

Are you running the track with all loose files in devmode, or have you placed gmts etc in MAS files already?

And you are 100% sure that you did package all Files that have an Entry in the scn File?
How many Instances do you use in the scn?
And what is the overall Polycount of the Track?
And did you check it for Typos, like missing { or } Brackets for Example?

I don't know how many objects you are talking about, but I do not know if there is an object limit on a Mas file.

In general many unique objects is a really bad idea, it's going to cause bad performance, unnecessary draw calls etc.

Pack them into MAS files and see how it goes. I know in the old days upwards of a couple of thousand files in a MAS ran into issues, so had to split GMTs into multiple MASes to make them work. Seems unlikely that would neatly correlate to scn trimming though. Either way if you test in devmode with MAS files (only) you're comparing apples to apples.

(of course make sure you have backups of all files, in case any go missing)

Yes i know, but as it worked without a flaw in DEVmode, i started to ask myself where did that problem come from.
Is the MAS packing or a error/flaw in the software.

I pack tracks 5x times a week sometimes.
Never ran in to this issue.

But i could test to spread out the amount of objects in more than one mas file.
    See what happens than.

Ok it's fixed, there was a huuuge bunch of unused small files in the GMTs.mas.
The MAS has a maximum of files apparently.
Never knew they actually have a limit on what they can contain.
After cleaning up all the rogue files from the folder it worked great.
