What's up with the delta timing (Top of screen, below mirror). If i do an out lap and a timed lap, the second timed lap instantly shows 9.999 as i cross the line so i have no idea if my lap times are improving. This usually fixes itself on the third timed lap which is a total pain on long laps.
What track/s is this happening on? I've noticed similar and it appears to be track dependant but I've yet to nail it down properly.
I think this happens everywhere, only after you set a 2nd timed lap with a faster time than the first one, the delta runs properly.
It happens on a lot tracks, it starts working properly once you do a faster lap than the one first set and it works ok from then on.
I concur, you have to do your outlap, 1 timed lap (don't go too fast here) then 1 lap that is faster than the first timed lap. For the rest of the session (practice or quali for example) the delta time works fine. This happens on every track and has been this way since it was re introduced after DX11 update.
Only by doing a faster lap. That's why the suggestion is, to do a slow first timed lap, so you can beat it. Only that first timed lap will 'stick' and stop the delta working.
