Now you have to create a vmod through the mas2.exe (...rfactor2-dedicated\Support\Tools).

Open it, click the box icon
    [IMG]

then Create new mod package - type the name, next - select the track/tracks - select the car/cars - ignore the "other components" tab (as far i know only the Apex GT3s requires a component here, the sounds), click done.

Uncheck the layouts/cars you don't need and click Package, then Install and finally Done.

Now when you open the dedicated.exe you will be able to choose the vmod created.

Could you check what is in the file : rfactor2-dedicated\Core\data.path
And put .\ inside and save and test again.

Go in rfactor2-dedicated\Bin64 and create a shortcut of the rf2dedicated.exe (move the shortcut on the desktop), right click on this shortcut, proprieties and go in the tab.. mmm, link? Never seen in english, but the tab where you have the path of the shortcut.

In the path label you will see this "C:\rfactor2-dedicated\Bin64\rFactor2 Dedicated.exe"
you have to add this +path=".." +profile=(player.json name)

    in my case is "C:\rfactor2-dedicated\Bin64\rFactor2 Dedicated.exe" +path=".." +profile=server1

server1 because i renamed my player.json in order to have multiple server

Ok, i´ve just found "my" mistake.

The path of the created rfcmp file was by default in the GAME folder : F:\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Packages

    Path02.PNG

So i´ve changed it to the "correct one" (the dedicated server path)

    Path03.PNG

Now if i run the DEDICATED.EXE it works

    Path05.PNG

But ....Of course there still something "buggy" (lol) ...This is the way to run the server with the shortcut ...When you do this way, on you STEAM "window" , it says that the GAME is running.....

    Path07.PNG

So i have to try to run the server through the launcher:

    Path06.PNG

But using this way, the default PACKAGE path is : XXX:\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Manifests
But it reads only .mft files

So here i´m stuck again :)

I suppose you are hosting through you pc and your rF2 copy, right? With SteamCMD and the rf2 dedicated tool you are no longer linked to rF2, nor Steam.
