Dear MSG -- greyed out Formula E Gen 3 Content

I just got an unforced Download of 3 Formula E Season Packages, that are greyed out in the Menu, but have a Button to put them into the Basket to buy them.

I really like rFactor and i also want to support it.

BUT please don't do such Things!

I generally hate it, to fill my Computer with Things that i don't need or use.

And for me, something like this, is bad Business Behaviour.

Don't install something on my Computer without to ask me if i want to have it and without (as it seems) the Option to get rid of it!

I'm really pissed about that!

I now deleted the FE Gen 3 rfcmp in the Workshop Subfolder and also in the Installed\Vehicles Folder and deactivated/skipped the automatic Update at the Start of the Game and it seems as if i don't get it downloaded and installed again.
Hopefully, my owned Shop and Workshop Content still get updated automatically, like it is set in the Manage Content Area.

Thank you for pointing this out, running out of storage space. It takes up 1.2GB! Although interested in the car, it does some things right, small, aero is not an overkill, tires are practical, should try it.

I don't understand why you guys still subscribe anything anymore ? :)
Updates of 3rd party are few and far between and you can store all that on a external drive.
My rF2 is 291 GB if I subscribed everything I have archived ( 246 GB ) it would be over almost 550 GB.
The only content you must subscribe is DLC.

Really simple procedure using Beyond Compare ( trial version will do )
Here you have chronological order, other files excluded.
Nothing but DLC there, package number, size, date, just highlight and " copy to .."
Like I said that saves me 246 GB of expensive Gen 5 SSD.
You can't lose anything, S397 or 3rd party has been removed, who is to say how much more will go.

There is one trick to all this.
YOU MUST consign every single package to a rfm's.
If all content is in various rfm Steam can't remove anything till you wish it.
Also the series look better in game then "all cars and tracks" ( I remove that manifest )
Another benefit is you don't get HUGE list of classes when setting up a session o_O

You see below every single components is in one or more rfm which means they untouchable.
It is also handy when you scroll fast you pick up any blank spaces, Corvette Pace Car and anything else you missed.

I call that total control ;)

They here :) All ISI + S397 + 3RD PARTY.
No use storing DLC as you can't install them manually anyway.

I use variations on this so that games find stuff that I've moved off my main drive.

Code:
mklink /d "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop" "k:\SteamOffSSD\workshop"
mklink /d "c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\Replays" "k:\SteamOffSSD\common\rFactor 2\UserData\Replays"
mklink /d "c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Le Mans Ultimate\UserData\Replays" "k:\SteamOffSSD\common\Le Mans Ultimate\UserData\Replays"
