I must be overlooking this, since I really can't find it.

What are the DDS settings I need to use when saving rfactor2 skins? I need to make a league pack, and am not sure which settings to use. Anyone knows?

    Try DXT5 interpolated alpha.

Thanks D1. Is that for all .dds? Also the window files?

I beleive so, it's what I have used at least. Main skin gmat should be 'bump cube specular map add alpha reflect T1 lerp T2 vertex alpha'.
This way you can have your bump map, spec map, and a damage layer. You can use the alpha to modulate reflection. I have not got my windows exactly right yet but I think you can use dxt5.

DXT5 works fine for car skins, and windows.

Now, for the selection icon, the game complains about NOT wanting DXTn format. I tried some via the photoshop plugin, but it keeps on crashing my game when I add an icon to the component.

So, if I use a DXTn save, I get 3 fault notifications (in windows), but it does load the images when I confirm the fault's.
Is I use a pallet 256 color save, it simply crashes my game :(

Anyone can tell me what to use here???

    Nobody knows?

Well, in that case, I fear it will be trial and error :( To bad, had hoped someone would have had some experience with it already...

Use the 8.8.8.8 DDS format for the menu icons.
