This is a bit strange guys...

I do have a pretty fast connection. Can download various other stuff quite quickly and a lot quicker than a lot of other people according to what I read. I could download http downloads of pCARS new builds in 10-20 odd mins. The last time I waited for a http download of rf2 it took just over 20-25 mins iirc.

Every time I`ve tried torrents they seem to take sooo much longer that http downloads.

How come I can download http downloads so much faster than torrents?

Btw, I`ve also tried torrents long after initial release of builds etc so there shouldn`t be half the world downloading at that time and it`s always taken ages...

I would say you need to foward ports to router tj.

All you need is to pick a number between 1 and 254 to use
used to have to do this myself but since w7 everything works don't need ports to host rF either

    Cant think of anything else

    edit

Oh hang on tj select OPTIONS\SETUP GUIDE and run the speed test doh...........

Did you try a fresh install tj ?

Did wonders for me although I only ever saw stutter at Spa pit exit near house a few starts the it came good.

However it did fix a few other things, better load times, smoother even graphics maybe better.
Backup the folder in user/roaming/rFactor besides doing a true image :p
WCR ALLTracks v1.02 soon to be updated I hope for Mountain Forest what a hoot :)
Only add official content add on tracks you need for a start, I found a mod created error with AllTracks V1.02

Olympics over join F3 ROOKIES tonight we do some mountain climbing. :)

Ok you mean a fresh install of rf2 b101?

No... not tried that yet mate but will do right now so won`t be long... we maybe get a few laps later. :)

Really enjoyed the Olympics... TGB did very well. Chuffed. Delighted for Sir Chris too. :)

Thanks tjc for your reply  Team GB did astoundingly well and I really enjoyed it all from watching the opening ceremony on holiday in Greece to the closing in Great Britain (Sir Chris and the team put Great back in Britain).

Anyway back to business, no it's not a fresh install and I believe I have all the mods necessary and everything is showing as installed but I can't get on the F3 Rookies *training server now. I could 2 or 3 days ago and raced in Belgium but I couldn't get on when the serber eas running Mountain Pass even though I have installed that track too. What could be up?

First thing you should try is to do a fresh install (I also could not connect to some servers after updating to 101 and fresh install solved it).

Mmm... I can`t comment on your not being able to get on the F3 Rookies Richie as I`ve not tried with this build yet but I do know that I was getting pretty bad fps with b101 on first install so I re-installed it last night and the fps are back to what they were and even better in some cases... (strange but true)

So, maybe a fresh install of b101 would help with your connection to F3 Rookies?

    Worth a shot anyway. :)

No special reason apart from day one I started my room I had enforced names ticked on server
so I would know most by first name basis I guess, never thought about it a great deal at the time.

Also Driver names tend to be more flourished especially if you type to chat plus, if you run with guys alot you most likely end up calling them by their given names or nicknames anyway. ie: DD

I have actually had 2 people out of my driver list whinge and leave ? ...nothing you would not find out on their social media site.

I also quickly worked out that most non enforced driver names and forum names did not match anyways so it did not matter.

Pretty fast I had 120+ names in my list before I joined another room besides my own and found I hardly knew anyone by their non-enforced or forum names. lol

So I just stuck with enforced and now have 200+ Drivers from Spa and have missed a fair few besides.

They can get around it anyway if they really like by a edit apparently.

On the flipside now I have 95% real names in list I could match Driver and Forum names to them.

Mmmmm mines Durge Driven , Durge Driven and Durge Driven... less confusin' lopl
