Hi all, I have the Fanatec Podium DD1, everything was fine, but after the last updated, my "steering effect strength" value get modified by the game everytime, so my ffb feel inverted I tried to set it manually from -10000 to 10000 and viceversa to delete the file and let rf2 create a new one but nothing to click "detect" and with his original set nothing happened all this, since I hit the track my ffb is inverted anyway any suggest? thanks in advance to you all
Hi Danielep 91 i am a simcube user just checked the controller file for DD1 and it should be be 10000 not minus /did you save the changes when you change them ? just a thought try the DD2 Controller profile see if that is reverse also Regards Denis
Are you running rf2 when you try to save the changes in the json? You cant make changes to the json if rf2 is running, so first shut down rf2 and edit/save the json. Then restart rf2.
I argued with someone years ago about inverting that value, I can't remember now whether I was arguing you can or I was arguing you can't. The point is some of us seemed to be able to, others it reverted - even when edited with rF2 off. Might need to go up a level, load a different profile and see if you can find one that works.
Save your settings with a different name. Close rF2 Open the file that you have created with a text editos (Notepad, etc) Change the sign of the "steering effect strength" value. Open rF2 Load the controller that you created in the first point again The point 6 is very important. Before you re-load the profile, rF2 is telling you that is using that, but it's not true. You have to load again that profile to apply the changes made by hand in the file.
Does the advice NOT to touch the menus AFTER making text edits still stand? It used to be if you changed menu items then an entire new json would be saved and over-write your changes.
Thank you all guys for the help. At the end the problem was..... steam! As mistake on steam probably in the game properties - general - I've activated the "general steam input settings". sorry all for the time wasted
